Radnor is the defending PA State Champs and historically are a good program, but they aren't even in the same league as Haverford or Malvern Prep or even EA.

Prep is way too inconsistent this Spring for a team of this talent.

Something is up.

It wasn't a real game. It's not on their schedule and they wore pinnies vs uniforms. Fun scrimmage.

The whole DMV is down this year and it might even be worst next year.

What's the psych profile of the "down year in DMV", "big drop off in talent", "club lacrosse ruining the sport", "nothing like the old days" poster? Happy not to live in your world. But what is it? Dad of 2nd best player on a bad team? If your team is on top you aren't saying that right? Just a very tired narrative.

I think he's parroting.

Just telling the truth. Not nearly as many elite teams in DMV compared to years past and programs that have enjoyed long term success are down, if not out. This will be corroborated over the next 6 months by a lack of college commitments

I agree with this. Been involved w high level private school lacrosse for 12 years. It is down. no doubt. Club results are one data point, recruiting rankings are another. Head to head outside of our area for HS lax is a third. All are trending down. It isn't off a cliff, but it's down. I am not sure why, but agree with poster above.

You may be right, or you may be suffering from old guy disease. Doesn't matter. The question is why do you and your like-minded, glory days clowns need to keep posting this conclusion? What are you trying to accomplish? Diminishing your kids', and their teammates and competitors skills and commitment? Totally repetitive and unproductive.

I don't know about other people's motives, but my motive is simply putting out an opinion that may add some context to others, who are also forming an opinion. I am pretty sure it's a private school lacrosse thread on a forum that is designed for people to post opinions. If kids or parents can't take that, well, I guess I'd say grow up.

When my kid's team scrimmages an inferior opponent, starters have fun by going up 10 and getting the underclassmen in the game by 3rd quarter. They spend the rest of game goofing off and cat calling benchwarmers, who generally hold the spread to 7-8pts.

But hey, to each his own.

Unclutch your pearls. Radnor would be top 2 in WCAC and could beat any team in DC area.

well considering Radnor lost to Episcopal Academy by a few goals this season and Bullis beat EA by a couple of goals, your blanketed statement is already flawed.

Radnor is a good program, they aren't elite.

The Gaels should have beat BL on Friday.

They should have. What was the call at the end of the game. Did the MSJ coach call a TO before the kid got into the box and then lost the ball?

Radnor came all the way down to DC on a Sunday for a scrimmage?

Honestly, there’s not much excitement here—this feels like a matchup of two overrated teams. Landon’s offense has struggled with poor execution of plays and shot selection; and Gonzaga’s offense isn’t much better—average at best. Let’s revisit this after they take losses to DM and SJC.

Well Prep did it differently. This was a fun scrimmage and a chance for bench warmers to play. As an example, Prep started their third string goalie and later switched to their second string. Gave their two senior committed goalies some time in the net. Their regular starting goalie is a freshman and didn't even play - he got a well deserved break. Lots of players who don't often see the field got to play. There weren't even real referees. Relax people, it's a fun scrimmage.

Their fourth string goalie also played. Prep has a large bench and it's nice for those kids to get some time on the field, even if it is just a scrimmage.
