For obvious reasons, not surprising at all. All those precious children in that school, with approximately 90% from low income families, deserve so much better than those incompetent administrators who covered for each other.

Absolute $hit$how of a school. I hope none of those admins receive pensions. The nerve of the principal acting like she knew nothing. If that’s true, even more embarrassing. So thankful for our admin!

+1 when asked, she couldn't remember how many students were in her school...said 400-500. She's either lying or not very bright.

This actually could be a good outcome for the teacher, because the school's insurance was refusing to pay for the settlement she already won in the civil suit because it was claiming the policy is negated by the criminal actions of the AP and if the AP had been found guilty the insurance was going to refuse to pay.

Now that the case was thrown out and charges cannot be refiled, the insurance can't use that excuse anymore as the AP wasn't and cannot in the future be found guilty of a crime that resulted in the shooting.

If this is actually true then I hope she gets her $10M. And I hope the AP struggles to find employment.

Yes. Read all the way to almost the end of the article to the quote from the teacher’s attorney. https://www.wavy.com/news/local-news/watch-live-day-4-of-richneck-elementary-shooting-criminal-trial/

There is still the hurdle of the workers compensation exclusive remedy issue, which would eliminate her right to sue the school and negate her recovery. This verdict is not positive in that regard. If there were a criminal violation, it would take this case out of the exclusive remedy provision.

This is terrible case. There really isn’t likely anything that will make Abby whole. It was probably a life ruining event.

+1 Due to working in a terrible school system with incompetent, non-caring school admin who are only looking out for each other.

You need to keep up. The civil trial has already happened and the workers comp issue was already decided by that judge who denied that claim.

Does anyone know how Ebony Parker has been supporting herself since she was fired from the school system?

But these two horifically incompetent administrators (Princial and AP) with their "doctorates" can keep working as educators since they are still certified by Virginia. They should never be responsible for children's education and safety again. They allowed a violent child to remain with other students and his drug using parents to be in that classroom on a daily basis.
