Super safe to be a Jew in the U.S. right now.

It is a million times safer than Palestinians in Gaza, so let’s count our blessings.

So you believe that citizens of this country should feel unsafe at their universities because of a conflict that’s thousands of miles away? Collective punishment much?

Tell Biden not to drag us further into this cesspool conflict.

We are attacking Iranian back units in Syria. Netanyahu’s wet dream. Is this worth it? Oh Biden time to think about the US.

He is.

Do you think Gazans would even live there if militants were operating below preschools and playgrounds? Do you think a Gazan man or any man would go to work peacefully knowing a group of random armed men are living 24/7 right below his wife and kids?

I thought they had no choice?

DP. I tend to think that Hamas, by controlling food, pipes, etc., exerted a strong degree of coercion over Gazans. Pipes for tunnels and bombs—instead of for peaceful purposes. Sad.

Hamas can’t really do much about food as Israel has a blockade on Gaza so no ports or shipments can come in. Gaza Strip is as dense as Manhattan and isn’t agriculturally friendly like the West Bank. If anything, the tunnels probably help bring in food items from Egypt and that probably was the driving force behind their creation . Necessity is the mother of invention so a blockade by the Israelis unfortunately made Hamas craftier than they would’ve been without the blockade.

Gaza was well provided for by the UN. Hamas siphoned lots of provisions away for their tunnels. Egypt was annoyed by the tunnels at one point, so it flooded many.

Wow how do you know what happens in Gaza?

No he is only thinking about what Israel wants and the blank check he has written to them. He is not thinking about what is in the interest of the US. This can easily go south for the US. If it does the next congress and president will not be pro Israel.

US air strikes against Iran will do nothing but strengthen the government’s hold. This is a $h#t show.

Or, maybe, Hamas, as Gazans’ duly elected representative is representing voters’ interests? Who knows?

pinprick precision strikes aren’t the game changer you seem to think they are.

Forget the presidency, these decisions are not good for U.S foreign policy, they are only good for Israelis.

As for Blinken, I don’t think he was ready for prime time. I have seen door knobs with more charisma.

You all got this so wrong. Biden and Blinken have done an amazing job so far. Israel still hasn't invaded Gaza, there hasn't been a spate of terror attcks (besides their trademark rockets), 4 hostages got released, some relief got in, Saudi Arabia has said peace talks will continue, Hezbollah has not invaded, the West Bank is only simmering, the settlers haven't massacred everyone and we have not gotten into a war with Iran. Those were all the big worries two weeks ago

exactly. it's another smart move by the team. makes a point and delivers a warning but does not escalate. All enabled by calling it out last week and announcing our intentions.

Given the realities of the situation, I'm thrilled what Biden & team have done.

Wouldn’t get campus leftists’ support, maybe.

Many thought that Obama was a Muslim and he made it to president. A Jewish person can make it too.

I bet a Palestinian becomes president of the US before a Jewish person .
