Ok, put down the wine. China is not worried about losing face as communists. They don’t have an ideological dream to convert Americans into communists. They are beating us at capitalism and they want to keep doing it. They don’t need to go to war. Xi went to se Asia and positioned China as the main supporter of multilateral trade and the grownup in the room, signed 45 trade cooperation agreements with vietnam, and will likely do the same in Malaysia and Cambodia this week.

Meanwhile, Trump was twiddling his tiny thumbs, hoping Xi would call, but instead, the heads of Walmart, Target, and Home Depot showed up to tell him to stop the tariffs.

the Us needs the world more than the world needs the US.

We won't be able to get back into these supply chains without dropping prices significantly, and that is only after other countries can trust the US again.
