Only an idiot would think this was a better option. The truth is most likely they walked into a messy situation and there’s no plot, just people reacting.

It does make sense honestly. It’s classic husband murder. They thought they had it buttoned up. They obviously were smart enough about it that he hasn’t been charged, but there’s no way a guy who didn’t murder his wife in this situation stays in a relationship with the au pair.

Agreed. Had she rematched with a different family after the tragedy, or left the Au pair program to return to Brazil, their story might look more plausible.

But we are supposed to believe they stumbled upon this mess, killed an intruder in self defense, watched CB die and then oops fell in love?!? Within months? A 23 year old Brazilian with no formal education and a middle aged IRS agent with a kid? Ok sure.

I'm not sure if CB and JR had a on-going relationship or it was the first time they planned to meet, but this dude did walk into the house with restraints and chains and lube and a knife.
And AP's involvement has always been confusing but BB probably realized that her shooting him a second time could put her afoul of self-defense laws. Although she's a tiny girl maybe 5ft tall, and JR looks like 6ft+ and mean according to his facebook pics.

Same. That previous post described things that aren’t public information (if even true) and also characterized JR as “mean looking,” as if that means something.

Typically the Fairfax District Court is NOT streamed. You are permitted to go in person.

I don't think either was an option. Court took passport--yes, she tried to get another, but the idea was that she wouldn't leave the US while this was under investigation. I can't imagine any family that would want her as an au pair.

Hey, I suspect being with BB was a reason to stay, but even if she weren't involved with him, I don't think she could go back to Brazil or rematch.

There are screenshots from Juliana's social media, most we have seen before but some are new. I did notice the photos of Juliana and Brendan at the gym are dated January 9 (before the murder) and there is a new picture of them holding hands (sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I don't recall seeing it prior).

Being guilty of being a terrible husband is different than being guilty of double murder. BB isn't charged with murder so far, someone else is. I'm very interested in knowing how the level to which he was involved and understand the first charge could be used for leverage against BB with a future charge to come. I just haven't seen any theory that makes sense of all the details and am open to the very slight possibility he isn't a murderer. This thread is long (but I think I've read it all) so if there is a timeline that seems to fit it all together in a conclusive way that makes BB the murderer please let me know which page it is on.
