How do you know that he was not targeted because Israel had information about him being involved in something? Also, why are you so one sided? Don’t see any posts by you about the atrocities that were done to Israelis.

Plenty of people are posting about the atrocities that were done to Israelis. Nobody is posting about this child. Sadly I am not surprised that you would find a justification for the murder. Israelis could literally kill a child in cold blood on video and you would excuse it. Oh, that's exactly what just happened.

Hamas could literally cut a pregnant woman open and kill her unborn baby and you would NEVER post that. One sided, like I said.

As I said, I wouldn't have to because someone else would beat me to it. But, unlike you, I wouldn't post an excuse for it.

You post pro Palestinian messages, exclusively. You have been doing this for years, on every Israel/Palestine thread. Just admit to having a bias. All of your pro-Palestinian messages a basically an excuse for October 7 violence.

I have never denied being supportive of the Palestinians. There is not much to praise about the current Israeli government and hasn't been for many years. I condemned the October 7 attack the day that it occurred. I have no problem condemning Hamas' atrocities but you can't bring yourself to utter the slightest criticism of Israel even when you see a 15 year old brutally murdered with your own eyes. I would argue that I am far more objective than you.

Jeff, I would just urge you to be more critical of what is coming out of Gaza. You were arguably too quick to accept that Israel bombed the hospital and targeted the church.

You also really didn’t seem to want to accept that Shani Louk had her bones broken and was almost certainly raped and tortured.

It seems like you have a fairly low evidentiary barrier for allegations against Israel. That’s all.

Israel didn’t target the church, Reuters, Al Jazeera journalists, civilians, a hospital, a school, a funeral, a library. They’re all human shields for Hamas. Hamas is everywhere in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Hamas is sitting back in the tunnels away from civilian life and unharmed. The IDF , avoiding going inside, is now planning to gas Hamas and their captives which include many elderly Jewish people the age of the Holocaust and older than Israel itself .

Hamas used their Iran money to build a $2 million mall, a water park, and an equestrian club in Gaza, to name a few things.

But sure — they’re poor resistance fighters.

I don't click on videos of either side's suffering, but do we expect the next few weeks to have no casualties? I don't mean to be cold hearted at all--but wouldn't that be an absolute a cease fire? Again, I didn't watch the video so maybe you can explain for those of us who don't want to be permanently scarred by visuals what you think it shows, and how it is to be avoided in the current war?

Wtf are you talking about? Yes, we expect and a shred of human decency demands that young children are not pass by, shooting targets of military in a refugee camp, in a non-combat zone.

Watch the video.

The explanation for the video said it was part of a clash and there were armed people on the West Bank side in the confrontation. Is that now not true?

If it’s still happening, then maybe Hamas is not being killed effectively in Gaza. The rockets are coming from underground tunnels. Israel knows this but still chooses to hurt civilians. This is why they are facing backlash as a country. This is illegal. It went beyond proportionate violence when the first 2,000 Gazans were killed but that’s enough to satisfy racism and blood lust. This is genocide and this is shameful coming from people who know exactly how that pain feels

So what do you want them to do? Sit back while Hamas continues to launch rockets and hope the Iron Dome works?

I think some education about international law is warranted on this thread:

Under international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute, the death of civilians during an armed conflict, no matter how grave and regrettable, does not in itself constitute a war crime. International humanitarian law and the Rome Statute permit belligerents to carry out proportionate attacks against military objectives,[17] even when it is known that some civilian deaths or injuries will occur. A crime occurs if there is an intentional attack directed against civilians (principle of distinction) (Article 8(2)(b)(i)) or an attack is launched on a military objective in the knowledge that the incidental civilian injuries would be clearly excessive in relation to the anticipated military advantage (principle of proportionality) (Article 8(2)(b)(iv).

Why should they be poor? Of course they are the government of Gaza and have to pay for services. I know that makes them Harder to beat but let’s not pretend like Netanyahu didn’t know suitcases of cash were coming in from Qatar and Iran to Gaza. There’s a sea and land blockade in Gaza so any money being smuggled in and entry into Gaza is signed off by Israel
Israel knew and cooperated and probably accepted Hamas bribes from Qatar hence the silence on Qatar . Israel liked Hamas because they both are racist and against negotiation. They didn’t want the Annoying liberals in America forcing them to hold hands and make a two state “solution”.

As I said, both me and Netanyahu's social media guy were on the same page about Israel having bombed the hospital. Israel did damage the church and killed many Christians. Whether they targeted the church or not is really not important. They are knowledgeable enough to that their attack would cause damage to the church and would have known that civilians would be there. That was considered acceptable. This last video is not from Gaza and was provided by an Israeli group.

Recognize that when it comes to the church being collateral damage in a strike on an enemy command center, that is consistent with international law. I’m sure you know that.

Maybe lawyering the issue helps with your conscience but the fact remains that an Israeli commander decided to that Christian non-combatants were acceptable to be killed. Moreover, what evidence is there that there was, in fact, a Hamas command center? Israel can hit any target it wants and simply say there was a military target near by and almost everyone will accept it.

I mean, military commanders have to make those decisions all the time in war. Every state that has gone to war has had those exact situations come up.

The West Wing even dramatized it, if you recall.

It this is true or not true, it's why a cease fire is preferable. Unfortunately it was broken to a million pieces on Oct 7, on purpose. What a mess.

Even the best Seal team would not know where to start looking for them. These tunnels are exceptionally long labyrinths with oftentimes little oxygen.

That's what Americans are doing and will do. We are already there helping, and some American soldiers will be buried in Arlington cemetery unfortunately trying to work this 'the hard way'. I hope the Palestinian people understand this sacrifice.

Hamas is not a state or a government but terrorists. Technically it is not an armed conflict between to states/government per the Israelis.. So the law you site is not applicable. Now Israel using collective punishment, targeting civilians, denying food and water, targeting hospitals, churches, etc are war crime. Maybe we should just call the IDF a terrorist group?
