The pacemaker is still functioning. It's just no longer connected to her smart watch. It will continue to function even if she dies. |
And maybe they did. But you can't force competent people to make decisions, even good ones. Head on over to Eldercare Forum. People vent about this stuff every week there. |
LOL |
They were treating it as a missing person or maybe a silver alert type situation. They were not thinking, abduction or murder. |
Good question. |
I'm fully aware and thankful that my mom was willing to have a working alarm system and assistance from a caregiver. She also had 2 Border Collies. |
It’s literally a million plus dollar home. You clearly have no grasp of what a million dollar asset is to someone who makes minimum wage and the assumptions they make about her and/or her family’s net worth. And 3,000+ sq/ft on that large lot is gigantic, especially in the context of a disabled old widow. This elderly woman was a sitting duck in such a home. |
The guest house isn't more than 100-200 sq ft. But there are loads of neighbors around not sure what this PP keeps going on about. |
Literally every house in that neighborhood is like that. What are you even suggesting that the Amazon driver kidnapped her to get her house? And no it's not gigantic. My 80yr old dad lives alone in a 3000 sq ft 3 bed house in Arizona. |
Yes, you can. The real issue is too few Americans want an elderly parent to move in with their family. It’s easier for them to be out of sight out of mind…until predictably, tragedy happens. |
They're living with their cats.

+1. It's only 6 million dollars. Surely that won't affect them that much. Cough it up, Savannah. |
Why would the best place necessarily be with an adult child? People who can't live alone need single floor living and more supervision than a working adult child can provide. I think you're a troll, though. |
SMF the Amazon driver did it! Link??? |
Yes he's squatting in the house now, living the good life in this $1M mansion on this desert estate. |
