Lol you're a moron. I was in the Marines. Day 2 of marksmanship training had 18 year olds shooting from 300+ meters with iron sights. The shooter missed high and the shot seems more impressive than it actually was.

One shot, one kill in a highly public, pressurized environment that will make worldwide news. INSANELY different than target shooting.

From within the crowd? Sure. From a secure location, shooting a stationary 6'5" target from 200 yards? Nah that doesn't require a pro or special training. Give an average 18 year old some guidance at the gun range and some youtube videos and it's well within reach.

They said "college age" because this was a public shooting on a university campus. It's an important fact that allowed the suspect to blend in.

Since they've got clear photos and the rifle (plus a footwear, hand and forearm impression), it won't be long before they find him. There's sure to be DNA, perhaps a usable fingerprint, on that weapon.
