DA vs ECNL vs everything else

Does Spirit really hope to ID new players tomorrow if they are giving out offers so soon? Or have they already decided and this is just lip service?

Yes. Offers are 2 kids they want no matter what. However, not all kids will except offers. So show up.

Cut will be made to current team if better player shows up and accepts offer.

Socal thread is the most reptuable thread with the most info. If you want to learn what's really going on in youth soccer....to include...yes..ultimatiums to clubs fielding both ECNL and DA teams.

Frontier DA Pilot teams play teams in their division just like your U13 ECNL teams play teams in their division. You know this isn’t CCL right? You understand that you do not play every team in your league right? So the Pilot age group played the same clubs as their older teams they just didn’t play in a pointless “showcase” at 12 years old.

hmmmmmmmm

Not every ECNL conference has U13 division. Take the SW conference: not even a pre-ECNL or anything. They just start at U14.

I heard it was the ECNL that gave the ultimate to clubs that had teams in both if they hadn't won e.g. an ECNL championship or something like that, and that they gave an ultimate to Texas clubs like FC Dallas - who then responded: we're not picking. You'll have to kick us out.

BTW my daughter is not ECNL. Too young. I am on this board to learn and get a better idea of what to do in a couple of years.

So, you're a parent of a u9 player with no DA or ECNL experience getting into debates. No wonder power grabs and ultimatums are above your head.

LOL. Thanks Yoda, you know me so well. I guess my personal experience playing travel soccer or life in general never prepared me.

Your life experience have failed you.

Wow you are a nasty bitter dude. Thank god I do not know you. FCV must really be a bad place. I won’t make your mistake. And from now on you are Troll to me and I will ignore you. Hope life improves for you.

Between the numerous leagues and the new cutoff I think soccer is in a death spiral. No one wants to pay so much money to drive two hours away to play in a tournament with kids you don't know that well against kids from the next town over.

Looking forward to ID at WS. Will be interesting to see turnout for 05 and 06. Any ideas on when they plan to send offers out?

Local DA club told their current players that they would know by the end of April whether or not they should tryout elsewhere. I'm assuming this is in line with all DA clubs.

So enjoy the hectic ride for the next few weeks.
