Protests on college campuses

That guy? One guy?

They ALL need to be arrested. That entire vicious mob. That one scene at UCLA last night contained more violence by counter-protesters than the combined violence of ALL protesters across the country over the past few weeks.

An almost perfect reflection of what occurred in the Middle East leading up to the establishment of Israel.

Then and now, the major problem - by a mile - is the violent, vicious Zionists.

And yet crickets from the “anti-semitism is the real problem in society” mouthpieces doing the bidding of their corrupt masters, and forgetting that they serve the American people - all of them.

not pretty but the logical reaction to the mob allowed to take over campus and block entry. this is why the police should have cleared the encampment on day 1.

Driving to a college you are not affiliated with, brutalizing students sitting on a lawn is a “logical reaction” in Natanyahu’s America.

Natanyahu's America? At UCLA? Just ... bizarre.

Camping at a college you’re not affiliated with shouldn’t be allowed either.

Did I misunderstand what was happening? A lone pro-Palestinian protestor yelled at counter-protestors, threw an orange cone at them, and then was mobbed? Yeah, the protestors and counter-protestors all need to go. They are no longer students, just mobs. Go home, fail your classes. Do better in the future.

Yes, you are misunderstanding what happened.

The counter-protesters, mostly older people from the community who are not students, have come on the campus. They have yelled the n word at protesters, thrown mice into the encampment, spit at people, and said things like "I hope they rape you." Here's a video of some of these delightful people:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69GQDLOWlew

Yesterday night they attempted to break down the barricades surrounding the camp. They tossed fireworks at the encampment, hurled stones and wooden planks at people, sprayed bear spray, and multiple people were beaten. It was a disgusting, racist mob.

Here's the LA times reporting:

Sounds like a good reason for the encampment to be cleared.

A Tennessee court just found six protesters guilty and they face up to 11 years in jail for protesting at an abortion clinic and blocking access. Would you add “taking over an abortion center” to this list?

Americans, over centuries have created the list, not me. Civil disobedience is the cornerstone of a free and just world.

These students cause is as righteous as it gets.

Breaking into private property is as righteous as it gets? Go back to your Al quaida cell.

You might want to pick up a history book. Alas, I am afraid you are too illiterate to read.

Need sure to read the history books that include 2000 years.

Taking over a public space and excluding others based on their political beliefs was and will always be a) a really dumb protest tactic and b) almost inevitably going to lead to retaliation.

Arrest them all. Protesters and counter protesters.

Columbia can’t scrub its web content quickly enough. It’s amusing to behold.

Brown University agrees to hold Israel divestment vote and students agree to end encampments.

I doubt the mob at UCLA even had any position on Israel. They’re just pissed that they are blocked from campus.

So, if Brown invests in Palestinian interests, will they hold a Palestine divestment vote too? Palestine has been committing internationally condemned war crimes for decades, not including 10/7.
