Texas cops have named a person of interest in the brutal rape and murder of 11-year-old Maria Gonzalez, who was found by her heartbroken father after he returned home from work.

Guatemalan migrant Juan Carlos Garcia Rodriguez, 18, is wanted for questioning related to the shocking crime, Pasadena officials said.

Rodriguez reportedly lived in the same apartment complex as Gonzalez but has since disappeared.

He reportedly entered the United States through El Paso in January, self-surrendering to border officers before being handed papers and let loose into the country.

The girl was sexually assaulted before being strangled to death, according to the local medical examiner.

Her father, Carmelo Gonzalez, called 911 on Saturday after he returned home to find his child stuffed into a laundry basket and placed underneath a bed.

Americans are being really good right now, hoping Government will wake up and start to handle things. If they don't, Jason Aldean is right - the people will take care of it. And if you think I'm stating they will go after government officials, that's not what I'm saying at all. They will handle the criminal element that has invaded this nation, and I guarantee you that a vast majority of new immigrants will join them - they are coming here to escape that element in their own countries, grow their family in safety, and raise their own children in a nation they see as the beacon of hope.

Can you imagine if Americans did not own guns? Those "Walmart" people with their arsenals you sneer at will be the same ones who will save your collective behinds. They will defend you and your family even as you spit in their faces, because that's how they were raised. They come in all colors too - you see that already in Chicago, where inner city neighborhoods are telling government to 'handle it or we will'. People will not tolerate crime without consequence and thank God we have the ability - and bravery - to set things right. I hope we don't have to.
