+1. The game was well fought. The girls are all friends. The parents acted responsibly. Let’s keep it that way. Next week this thread will be back to the toxic usual. Let’s enjoy a nice weekend of soccer while we have it.

They are definitely not all friends but since FVU has never beaten VDA this really isn't a rivalry even with the players who switched. Everyone knew VDA would win. Agree that parents acted well but again no expectation that FVU would win. The real story is that VDA can't make champions league and FVU might not make a showcase.
with FVU its a bit more/less complex than that. poor preparation precedes poor performance.

The girls have 1hr practices on the level of an ECRL team on half a field for three days a week. Scrimmages and shots on goal are rare as catching a shiny pokemon. These practices consist of sprints where players are told they are out of shape and something posing as Rondos. Parents sent a letter with concerns to be ignored and suffer in silence. With that kind of prep it’s no wonder we tied the lowly Hammerheads. The real question is if the club is actually committed to this team or looking over the hill. 2011s were forgotten when it came to USYNT IDs and will also be missing for Kansas City showcase. Which wasn’t a mistake per the staff unless it was also forgotten and they are saving face. Strangely enough they broke their necks to sign them up for wags. All to say its a lot under the hood that can use a tune up. Girls did a decent job considering the prep so cut them some slack please. You guys probably have whole fields to practice on. Parents are probably too ashamed to admit it but the girls deserve better. They still have a chance to get a showcase if the investment planning and commitment to an actual game-plan is embraced.

GG on all sides. Looking forward to running it back for the cup game. Sorry if long winded, I just don't think the girls have been given a chance to play to their potential. Maybe Im being protective but please let us know what your practice is like. Genuinely curious.

Also that post sounds like a frustrated VDA parent or hating Arl parent agitator. Its a Lot of soccer left cup wise. The kids might pull it off so don’t speak so soon!! Also awesome sideline vibes parents. Even when the fouls happened you guys were chilled as white wine. Totally unexpected but much appreciated. This board would have you thinking its WW3 but the kids actually had fun playing each other.

Listen, no one is blaming the girls. They are just unable to compete with the top of MA. Nothing wrong with that.
ok arl dad. We hear you loud and clear. Nxt time we will scream at DB to stack the box if its a tie heading into the half.

Sheesh

Whether the PP is an Arlington dad or not are they wrong? As it stands now the FVU 11’s don’t have enough skill/athleticism to compete with the top of the MA bracket. It’s not the coach’s fault or only having half a field (which is the norm by the way). As much as we all want our kids to be the best they are not always going to be and that is ok.
coach spotted!!!

Is that your response for anytime you don’t like what you hear? Not a coach.
thats my response to an obviously defensive post that smells like a coach post blaming little girls who lack real practice and leadership. Stand tall on your assessment coach. Dont run like you have in the past.

Can't fault FVU on this, its a county problem. GL to any clubs in FFX county that want to hold 4x trainings with the field space problem within the county.
i dont know.. other clubs dont seem to have that problem. Some have even invested in themselves and have their own fields. Imagine that concept of handling money. Reinvesting?!! Others like MYS broke away and wouldn’t ya know they have no issues with field space.

MYS is running 4 sessions a week for their GA? Good to know if so, it'll be the first club within FFX that I've heard doing it.

And you cant develop talent with the described practice. You can max out on profits however.

Comparing parents that possibly left a paper trail to Ulittles is a bold move.

They're not the only local GA club running 4 sessions per week. I believe that's the norm for most of the serious clubs.

You're correct, but not many have to operate within the confines of FFX county. Look at SYC for example, they only get 3 field sessions and 1 session in their performance facility that is pay as you go. LS/NVA aren't included and neither is TSJ because they operate out of LoCo. Out of all of the ECNL/GA programs, only FVU/MYS/SYC have to deal with FFX county field issues.

There are very good showcases besides nationals (not as good, but still good). It is quite tiring the people on here thinking the level at U15 is locked in. Development is key and the kings/queens at U15 aren’t the same as those at older age groups - as history constantly shows us. Continue to develop, play the course. Ignore the U15 parents that are just about as knowledge as the ULittle parents. Your DD team could be 1st last year and 3rd this year or 5th this years and 2nd next year. The arrogance of some parents on this board is crazy.

Do you feel FVU 2011 is being developed? They’re actually getting better at the sport as a team?

Do any of these FVU teams improve?

Coaching matters. MV, DB, and today’s CW aren’t making players better. They are continuing to add partners to FVU though which will help teams get better by adding talent.

If you are not contacting other clubs and attending a practice to show you are serious, then you will just repeat this next year with FVU.

Exactly. All the things posted about FVU aren’t new concerns and you guys signed up anyway. Either ride it out or make the switch. It’s ok to make a GA too.

we do none of that after asking. Some attempts for film but honestly its half assed and put on the girls. Nothing for Bethesda. Didn’t even know PDA had one but Im sure the parents wouldn’t mind asking. Well some of them anyway. Will look it up today.

If it is true that FVU only has 1 hr practices 3 days a week, they chose Wags over Kansas City, PDA, and Bethesda Cup, and neglected to sign girls up for the USYNT tryouts, that is really bad. I would really want to find out who was responsible for that. I understand that in the past CW and DB had 1.5 hr practices/4 days a week. It is also not a county thing, because most teams (in any county) are on a field with 1-3 other teams at every practice. Why doesn't FVU just add more teams to the fields like the other clubs do? Is this a Brave management issue? When they were just Brave how many practices did the kids go to a week, how long were they, and what events did the girls go to? Has the TD just cashed it in/stuck in the past and is missing the new shiny tournaments/showcases? I would demand answers. You don't sound entitled, you sound like you are getting a lot less for your $$ than people at other clubs. If all that is true, you should be angry.
