Only one style should be taught...ever...possession. it's the hardest to master. Every style is beneath it.
A kid that has the quality to play possession can play anything. |
Yes. |
The style being taught is the one US Soccer wants all potential NT players to understand. That way, when you run camps and put together teams, one can quickly get to strategies and tactics that may be more effective on an international level. One of the current NT problems is that putting together a bunch of players with differing styles requires a lot of time to get them playing cohesively. Much of the time at NT camps is just getting players familiar with eachother. There is no style that is definitive in assuring results - that usually comes from appropriately adjusting to the other team’s style and their lack of ability to shift their approach. On a slightly unrelated note, the DA/ECNL split has everything to do about club revenues and the balance with player benefits. Clubs need lots of players to pay the freight (and coaches, TDS, administrators, etc...)- at its heart US Soccer just wants the cream of the crop. Take all statements from all participants with a grain of salt. Clubs will say anything to keep the paying customers happy and their salaries paid ....

That's why VDA left too. Wasn't all just political as many think. |
^^
Frontier DA Pilot teams play teams in their division just like your U13 ECNL teams play teams in their division. You know this isn’t CCL right? You understand that you do not play every team in your league right? So the Pilot age group played the same clubs as their older teams they just didn’t play in a pointless “showcase” at 12 years old. |
Your kid didn’t make DA last year, got it. Now that your kid is ECNL after missing DA last year you’ll understand watered down. |
No it isn’t. I know tons of VDA people. |
Most youth teams play direct soccer including ECNL and DA. Just watch one of these showcase games on YouTube. The Keepers are constantly punting and launching goal kicks downfield, not playing from the back. Backs kick it downfield under pressure, not back to keeper or switching. At mid it’s long passes downfield not 360 passing and testing the other team for weakness.
It’s rare to find a team that does it right. What club in this area teaches possession soccer? |
BRYC, Alexandria. |
So a high ranking VDA board member getting appointed an ECNL position didn't play into huh....lol...get out of here. I'm sure the Battlefield coach didn't play into as well. Keep those VA state playoffs coming baby. |
BRYC does not, at least not all teams. My DDs team played them two weeks ago in the NCSL league. The BRYC keeper punted on every possession even under no pressure. The BRYC coach also yelled “pick it up” to our keeper when our team passed back to her. Classy. |
ECNL launched an attack at tryout time in an effort to stop a mass exodus and get people to freeze and reconsider. They have minions on here doing their bidding in an effort to keep their daughters team and league relevant because they don't want to do DA and miss HS ball...which is garbage. They even made a statement to make you think others are departing ......ohhhhhhhhh. Yet no new announcement.
Again, the 3 clubs that left were founding ECNL members. Their clubs were fielding both DA and ECNL teams. They were given an ultimatum. They went ECNL to maintain control and power. Nothing more. It's was not done so their kids can play HS...the kids are an afterthought. |
I take that back. It was BAC - Burke Athletic Club not BRYC. My apologies to BRYC. |
You are right. ECNL teamed up with the Illuminati to have minions get on every soccer board to spread propaganda. The best way to stop them is to wear a tinfoil hat while you read these posts. That way they can’t read your mind! These ECNL moves mean nothing! |
This may be confusing. if this was a bryc girls black team, then it may be totally different program than what the PP is referring to as bryc. |
