ECNL playing hardball...so just roll over and die?

You lose all crediabilty by not having all NT players in academy. Please believe, they will not pick HS over NT. Absurd notion.

You misread it. I could have written it better. If USSF plays hardball on NT spots, PDA will lose their best players. Calm down dude. I've finally figured you out. Your daughter has been to an NT camp. DA serves you.

And I get you..your daughter plays ECNL and you want it to be the top league.

Wrong. DA. Starter. She might be on your daughter's team. Just a wee bit more realistic about what it is all about.

Anyone following me on this?

Does USSF really require NT players to be in DA? I thought NT players were only strongly encouraged to play DA. Has it changed yet? Maybe only one girl's parents in the DMV can answer that? LOL.

If DA is not training their current NT players then the DA shouldn't exist

The 2 U14 girls from VA that got called into National camp this year are from Richmond where there is no DA team. So DA has no monopoly because they don’t serve every area. So obviously USSF scouts are still monitoring ECNL. With top clubs moving back to ECNL this will only continue.

I think we have at least two viable leagues. Everybody gets to play Elite soccer. Congratulations. Let’s add water to the lemonade pitcher so that every one can buy a $5K glass. We parents just have to deal with it.

Then the truth is...their is no Elite soccer. .

You daughter is a starter on a DA team...and DA doesn't serve you

Depends on how you define Elite. But if your DD is good enough she can play on a GNT or WNT. Getting called to National camp puts her on the top 20-40 players in the country and she can play international games. College coaches will come calling. Most would call that Elite soccer.

I guess they are trying cast a wide net. We will see how well that approach works over time.

That's right. HS restriction. No outside competition. No ODP. Discourage other sports. Its more about them than the girls. I would rather she be in ECNL with more options but unfortunately she likes it. I'd like to believe it is much better training and worth but that's not clear.

Here is an article on why FC Stars is leaving DA:

1. Strict sub rules severely limits playing no time and this development.

2. Combined age groups force cuts.

Also sounds like parents were not happy

Just means that you didn't play ECNL last year. If you did, you would know it's all the same...except for a 4th practice and more league games.

Stop being an ECNL propagandist in hopes of your daughters team not collapsing.

Read the article in the post above and then tell me it’s the same.

What part of my post is propaganda? Literally just facts from the article...lol

My daughter played ECNL and now DA. What part don't you think I understand?

The 3 clubs that dropped out fielded both DA and ECNL and were founding members of ECNL. They were given an ultimatum. Hence, "All in".

CHANGES NOTHING HERE

All of the DA parents with future USWNT players should stay in DA. We know there are a lot of you out there. You can rub elbows with Diane Drake and once she sees little Sally play, Jill Ellis will want your phone number.

At this point, it’s the only reason for you to stay DA. Remember to buy a lottery ticket on the way home too.
