I’m not from that area but I appreciate anyone who doggedly advocates for stability. |
| Since no neighborhood wants to come let Westfield pick what they want. |
| Westfield will be fine. It will be a good school for the community. It has tons of new construction and with Cub Run and Bull Run it should be just fine. |
|
What irks me is that the corporate/industrial centers near Walney road; Willard road; Sullyfield Drive/Circle can’t be redeveloped into housing because of IAD flight paths.
Thanks United! |
Bull Run doesn't seem to want to leave their Centrevile community for a much longer commute to Chantilly. Seems more community-first for Chantilly kids to attend a school with a Chantilly address. |
I don't think that's correct. There are pockets of residential buildings all through that area. |
Well there should be more! 🦶 |
Bull Run is the same amount of time to Centreville as to Westfield. |
|
Has FCPS committed to not doing any adjustments that increases the FARMs percentage at Westfield? Bull Run's is quite high and all the schools we are predicting will remain at Westfield are all high as well (except Cub Run's which is more average). I don't think its reasonable for Westfield to end up worse off while all the nearby schools are improved.

Someone painstakingly showed clearly most of these neighborhoods are much farther in mileage and time to Westfield compared to CVHS. Way back in the thread. Why are you stating facts that are easily proven wrong? |
Because the fact is that the delta of time was much, much greater for the alternatives. |
Also wrong, which anyone with google maps can see for themselves. Why the lies? |
They are building more. Drive down Lee Rd; Conference center; and that area. Drive around Wegmans. |
Do you understand what a "delta" is? Increasing current travel time by 30 minutes as opposed to increasing current time it by 5 minutes? |
Westfield will be losing two schools with high FARMS. In fact, Westfield will likely have lower FARMS as a result. |
