There was no "jumping in front of the car".

The ICE agents were preparing to arrest the decedent. The ICE officer shooter had walked in front of the car, which was going in reverse, preparing to arrest her. The victim suddenly placed the car in drive, hit the accelerator in a reckless fashion, then hit the ICE agent with her vehicle (Honda Pilot).

One point of view is that the reckless driver attempting to escape law enforcement officers presented a danger to the community especially so after hitting an ICE agent with her SUV.

Unfortunately, people will interpret the video as they wish to support their political leanings.

Lawyers - do ICE agents have jurisdiction to arrest a someone for blocking a street lane? I am asking out of genuine curiousity.

Yes. Obstruction of justice; obstruction of a law enforcement officer in the performance of his/her duties.

Other cars went around her without problem. Why did this one stop and shoot her? What "justice" was being conducted by the officer that shot her at that time?

Why is she using her car to block and decide who gets by? is she in charge of traffic?

What does it matter? How does that even justify the second and third shots through the driver’s side window?

How many time are you allowed to fire if someone is trying to kill you with their car?

LEO training says zero times. Do not shoot at a moving/fleeing vehicle or person.

In that split second he had no idea if she was fleeing or trying to hit him.

Then maybe he shouldn’t have been standing in front of her idling vehicle?

Dude, you can’t win this argument. Take the L and skill away to defend the next abomination and stain on our constitution.

They told her to move. She was moving. the only thing she was fleeing was the masked dude who got out of the pick-up and charged at her and started pulling on her door.

Yes, it sure looks like she was trying to do a U turn. And last I checked trying to do an ill conceived U turn isn't a death penalty offense. Consider how quickly she was killed and that she had been told to move, she was trying to comply.

yeah that’s what I’m hearing…it’s neighbors reporting they though her car was trying to block ICE but it could very well b she was parked on the side, started to pull out, and got stuck by the protests.

Let's find a case where somebody was trying to kill somebody with a car and we can discuss.

Google is your friend (and this happened in NOVA, no less):

“ Incident Overview
In the early hours of February 25, 2006, an off-duty Alexandria police officer shot and killed 18-year-old Aaron Brown at an IHOP restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. The incident occurred after Brown and his friends left the restaurant without paying their bill.
Details of the Shooting
Time and Location: The shooting took place around 3:40 a.m. in the parking lot of IHOP located at 6254 Duke Street.
Circumstances: The officer, who was working a security detail, was alerted by a restaurant employee about the unpaid bill. When he attempted to stop the group, Brown was a backseat passenger in a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee that allegedly moved toward the officer. Fearing for his safety, the officer fired at the vehicle.
Outcome: Brown was struck and died at the scene. None of the other occupants or the officer were injured.
Investigations and Reactions
Investigations: Following the shooting, both a criminal investigation and an internal police review were initiated. The officer was placed on administrative leave.”

It is becoming very difficult to suppress the feeling that only when it hits home for the psychos amongst us defending this insanity will they finally get it (but too late).

They will need to experience a loved one being murdered by this administration to wake up. Sad, but true.

There was an officer killed by a car in Minneapolis not long ago. You should look it up

And she was 100% justified in fearing for her life, as the results of this attack on the US populace by domestic terrorists proves.

I 100% believe he was acting in self defense after watching the video, but I agree shots 2 and 3 were likely overkill. That being said, God knows what any of us would do in a potentially life threatening situation.

But he wasn’t “any of us.” He was and LEO with specific training for exactly these types of situations.

If he’s a recent hire he had only 47 days of training. Perhaps they didn’t include the “not putting yourself in front of a vehicle” and the “not shooting at a fleeing vehicle” parts, both of which have been standard for federal LEOs for years.

When he took two shots through the driver’s side window by a car turning away from him, he thought he was going to be hit? WTF are you smoking?

And if he had been a mind reader, he would have known she was fleeing, but instead, all the information he had was that a criminal suspect was driving her car into him at the moment.

The only illegal thing she did was a driving infraction. It’s not the job of ICE to enforce traffic laws. The ICE agent clearly was able to drive around the woman’s car because he drove around her then got out and walked back to her.

He should have called 911 to report a vehicle in the road. He had no reason to suspect an illegal immigrant which is the only thing he’s supposed to be investigating.

Attempting to murder a federal worker is “just a driving infraction” ??

Oye veh!

Least competent “murder attempt” in the history of murder attempts.

If she was trying to murder anyone (she wasn’t, you’re just a POS troll), she sure did everything possible not to …

Moskowitz on Noem: "Is she hiding her face like her ICE agents now? By the way -- is this what the $800 billion went to? Every day we see her after some new tragedy, she's wearing a different outfit with a different hat. She looks ridiculous. She's not just an embarrassment to the country, she's an embarrassment to you and the president. She deserves to be removed from her job, and if not impeached."

To be fair the second one passed away. You act like it isn’t common for people to have multiple marriages.

We can’t all be paragons of virtue and upholders of family values like the beloved leader these devoted Christians worship.

Multiple baby daddies = bad
Multiple baby mamas = super strong alpha male

Right?

There are very special circumstances when firing into a moving car is warranted but otherwise, killing the operator of a moving vehicle is a big time no-no for obvious reasons. Any street cop knows this but this idiot wasn't a street cop and hence the larger problem.
