Please stop ruining this thread with this stupid obsession you have with this poster. |
It's totally exhausting. |
+2 I don't want to report them as to not annoy Jeff, but they need to socially pressured to stop spamming about their Freedman obsession. |
Freedman has made himself a huge part of this case. Because of his antics, Gottlieb is subpoenaing the Freedman law firm to uncover additional information about the smear. His communications with content creators are all being subpoenaed to be studied as part of the smear. Are we not supposed to talk about this, really? Do you understand how unusual it is for a law firm itself, and specifically the lead attorney like Freedman on a case, to be involved in discovery for issues of wrongdoing? I’m sorry that this lawyer’s potentially bad actions in this case are ruining your story about poor, poor, poor Justin Baldoni and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad Blake Lively. It would be lovely for you if Freedman’s behavior in this case was off limits so you could go back to posting 24/7 cringe interviews Lively gave fifteen years ago. But Bryan Freedman has made himself a part of this case and as long as that’s true I and other people here are going to keep talking about it. |
Entanglements in cases are not that uncommon. What is uncommon is for the public to be so obsessed with the lawyers in a case. I’m a lawyer who tends to pay attention to who the lawyers are, and even I don’t care much about any of the firms, never mind the individual lawyers. You obsess all day long on here, and Reddit. You’re just clearly being paid to try to take the heat off lively by focusing on random other nonsense (I remember your protective order obsession all too well) or you’re just nuts with some weird personal obsession or vendetta against Freedman (were you a paralegal he fired? A scorned love interest?). Anyway, blather away as always. |
+ 3. I wish she would get a time out at least |
+4. She has her own freedman thread to go obsess over him and refuses to go there because no one responds to her. |
Do you guys think Wayfarer will respond today about the deposition protective order? If they don't I assume tomorrow AM Liman will issue an order for Lively. I don't see why this was such an emergency that he needed to set a very short weekend deadline. |
+4. She has her own freedman thread to go obsess over him and refuses to go there because no one responds to her. |
You are so wrong about me, it’s exhausting. I am not the Reddit person you have named here before. I’m a dc lawyer. I don’t know Freedman or have any connection. I just got a bad vibe from him from the beginning and don’t like lawyers like him. Your insistence on not wanting to talk about Freedman is that talking about Freedman, and how he may have been involved in the smear, makes Baldoni look bad, and you support Baldoni. I wish you would be given a time out for the total trash and lies you post here about me (I’m a shill, I’m getting paid, I’m the CA Reddit person, I’m a scorned Freedman lover?!, blah blah blah). It’s stupid and I am asking you to stop lying and making things up. It’s gross and it’s bullying. |
Lively’s lawyers asked Liman to request Baldoni’s response be put on an expedited schedule, given that the deposition is on Thursday. I’m sure Baldoni’s team will respond, though I’m not sure what they’ll say. I think they will say that as the attys taking the dep, they get to pick the place, and nothing Lively’s team has said overcomes that presumption. Maybe they will try to distinguish the vin diesel example because there was an actual (supposed) death threat. I think they will address the Freedman statements head on somehow and say these kinds of out of court statements are allowed. And maybe they will say something like Lively is not required to know in advance exactly who will be deposing her. I can see Liman allowing the dep to proceed at Freedman’s firm if it could be assured that it will not be a circus or other media event, but if not I think Liman will allow Lively’s firm to host. Crazy the lawyers have to fight about this. |
The non-Lively Freedman thread was for Freedman cases/info that aren’t relevant to the Lively case. I don’t follow Freedman cases generally except for that Vin diesel example, and that was because his behavior was so threatening that it seemed likely to become relevant TO the Lively case. WHICH IT NOW HAS because Lively’s lawyers have filed those Vin Diesel pleadings in the Lively docket. Freedman’s behavior and possible involvement in the ongoing smear is relevant to the Lively case and you not wanting to talk about this here because you support Baldoni is unfortunate for you but not my problem. |
You act like we're getting annoyed by the mere act of you simply bringing him up. It's not just that, it's that you are *constantly* bringing him and that's the distinction. It's one thing to make a comment here and there about his relevance, but you talk on and on about him, and no one's even replying to you so I don't even get your goal here. |
Wut? I have not been the only attorney talking substantively about Freedman in this thread even within the last 10 pages. You continually conflate multiple posters into one. And I’m not really interested in the discussions about Lively’s wardrobe or hair products but I just skip over those and move on, so give that a try. |
PP. I feel like the date is not set in stone. It's a date they can change at will. Reading between the lines, both sets of attorneys would not mind postponing it (definitely Wayfarer wants to, and I think Lively also wants more time to review the video) but nobody wants to be the one to say it, because there will be media reports that one side chickened out. If I were Liman, I'd make them meet and confer again and figure it out. Regarding Lively not being required to know who is deposing her, true, and if I were Wayfarer I would give a very long list of any possible attorney or support staff and all the Wayfarer defendants who might potentially be there, to allay the concern that Perez Hilton will show up, or something, if that's the concern. Actually at this point they should just reschedule, because the date and time are known, and even though Lively got all cute by redacting all "your office" and "our office" in the last submission (including the state they have to fly to, gee, what a mystery that is), those were already unredacted in the prior submissions by Wayfarer. Whichever office is picked, the paparazzi will already know where to go... having it at Lively's lawyers doesn't actually protect her from a media frenzy. And I wouldn't be that surprised if any East Coast content creators tried to show up to get attention for themselves. |
