Within a matter of days, we learned more about the crazy white lady. Like I said before the news broke, she sounds unhinged; I bet she’d go crazy on anyone who engaged with her. And I was right! She has a history of calling the police and filing police reports and lawsuits against a white man...because she’s crazy aggressive that way. We may or may not learn more about the birdwatcher. The murder of George Floyd shifted the media attention. I’m not saying the birdwatcher is evil. I don’t know him... it neither do you. Anyone could have skeletons in their closet. And he might have a history of shooing others away from his chosen birdwatching site—although I doubt anyone would dare come forward to say so given the posse mentality of social media. Who knows? It’s over. Her life is ruined, and we’ve had a refresher course in how not to behave in public. |
+1 This is why we have riots. There are no “both sides” here FFS. |
How far is your twisted imagination willing to take this? Do you imagine that she’d taunt your hypothetical white guy saying that she was going to “Call the police and tell them that a Caucasian American man” was threatening her? In your mind, are you hearing her shriek multiple times as she makes her call that he’s Caucasian American”? If so, please support your assertion with....something rational. |
First it is 100 percent a fact he started it. I lived in NYC in Queens and Manhattan for 15 years. You don’t talk to neighbors, you don’t talk to strangers, you don’t video tape people even more so after you are asked to stop, you don’t try to force feed another persons dog with our permission.
He thinks he is a Black Charles Bronson in Death Wish movies. Sure Charles Bronson was always right, but by engaging lawbreakers you are looking for justice on your own. He shared video with sister on line on social media and knowing it may lead to her job loss, ruining her career as she also got death threats. |
We also don’t know race 9/11 operator or cops who showed up.

There was obviously a racial element to her actual police call. Nobody has ever disputed that. But everyone seemed to believe that she would never have called the cops on a white person. We have a long track record that she has—multiple times, including a bogus antagonistic lawsuit. So, yes, I think she would have called the police on a white guy and said a man was harassing her and threatening her dog. She might have even described him to the police (since they typically ask for such info). I’m not saying she’s not a racist. She is. She used his race as a threat. Fact. You just can’t see past the racial piece to understand that (1) not all white people are racist, (2) crazy aggressive people are crazy aggressive with everyone regardless of race, and (3) sometimes birdwatchers don’t appreciate other people and dogs disrupting their peace and quiet. |
She started it when she refused to leash her dog in a protected area. She has apologized profusely to him, so I don't know why you are taking up a fight she is not interested in. |
I think it’s interesting that all the people seem to gloss over that this white lady was breaking the law. It’s illegal to have dogs off-leash in that part of Central Park. The same people who ignore Amy Cooper breaking the law are the first to look for any instance of black victims of police brutality having even minor infractions. Remember the people who said Trayvon Martins murder was justified because he was home on detention from school? |
I lived in Manhattan for 14 years - and I talked with people all the time. That’s one of the things I miss the most about living there. You are not the norm, and you’re basing your assumptions on some pretty wack standards.n |
Ok, Amy. |
True. But we do know that Ms Cooper wasn’t concerned enough to bother to wait around for the cops. |
Please google the meaning of “fact”. And, while you’re at it “ 100%”. You are asserting something that you couldn’t possibly know — even though you may have lived in Queens. I think you just wanted some excuse to use that phrase about Charles Bronson. It’s 100 percent a fact that you would benefit from watching Do The Right Thing a few times. See how that works? ![]() |
Please point to anything specific in my comment that asserts or even relates to ANY of your three points — particularly the first one. I can wait. You really don’t know what I can see. Recognizing that might help you get your points across in a more cogent way. |
That’s the thing. It’s white woman privilege. Want to walk your dog off leash make up something about a man assaulting you...better yet a black man assaulting you. How dare anyone call me out as the wrong doer I am a white woman. Guarantee she has done something like this before. |
