Pets are property. Children are not. The law treats them very differently. Despite what crazy dog owners will have you believe, the law does not give any rights to your "fur babies". Control your pet or don't own your pet. |
It is possible to not be a racist yet recognize that he baited her just a little. It is possible to loathe Amy yet recognize that bird man baited her. He’s fine and I have no issues with him or his behavior. People can bait. He did it with the dog treat “you won’t like what I’m gonna do” thing. |
So then if this is true it makes me even more resentful of the improper stereotype Amy Cooper creates. Not all white dog-walking women are like her. Not even close. Yet I worry that black men will view me like I’m an Any/Karen. I’m not. |
yes +1 |
No, they weren’t “equally to blame” FFS. Just stop. |
That’s not “baiting”. That’d dealing effectively with the latest in a string of entitled a-holes who think they can let their dogs off-leash. Stop deflecting and focusing on anything but the actual issue. |
He wanted to stop the dog from tearing up the place and frightening the birds by distracting it. If the woman had followed the law and had it properly leashed, he wouldn’t have done it. He was being proactive and a good citizen. |
It would be cool if there was a video of a white woman confronting random black guys with unleashed dogs.
Can you imagine ![]() |
Yes, but only if you’re a rational, intelligent adult. |
That's wrong. Even though it's a public park, it has clear rules about unleashed dogs. She did not have a right to be there with her unleashed dog. She broke the rules. He asked her to follow the rules. Instead of apologizing and leashing her dog in accordance with the rules, she argued and escalated the situation in a way that was clearly intended to harm him. There's no both sides here. |
Hi Amy! |
Exactly. Stop trying to “both sides” this situation. He did nothing wrong. |
We don’t know that for sure. Had the dog been leashed and jumping around barking, he might have been annoyed since the noise likely would have interfered with his birdwatching. He might have asked her to leave. We don’t know. Remember several pages ago where a post suggested this woman was unhinged and likely would have behaved similarly with a white man, woman or child and everyone said that’s impossible because there’s no way she’d treat a white man with anything but respect? And then a couple days later we read about how she called the police on a white male colleague/love interest, filed police reports, and actually sued him in an effort to destroy his life. So, we now know she was prone to escalation and aggression. Maybe he is, too? Never say never. He might have skeletons in his closet. That might be why he isn’t fanning any flames. |
How did he bait her? By asking her to leash her dog? |
You are the reason people are rioting. Your absolute ignorance. Why are you questioning the man because he asked her to leash her dog? Why would you even suggest that he has a shady past? What the hell is wrong with you? You just can’t admit that the woman did a racist thing and leave it at that. She is no different than the white woman who lied that Emmett Till whistled at her and was killed for it. That woman understood her power and used it. |
