Just being realistic. We live in a closed league world and SYC is now on the outside looking in. It isn't the fault of the parents or the kids but it is best to reconcile that any success oving forward will simply not be validated because they are now on the outside looking in. All the EDP teams they will play against are in the same situation. All of them will bleed their top talent over the coming two years to their local ECNL or GA club.

The talent gap will get wider and wider even if the rankings say otherwise.

Well, Pipeline is now in ECNL. So far the U13s are 1-2 with a -6 Goal Differential.

The 07s are two games in, 0-2 with a -13 Goal Differential.

Two years ago SYC had been kicked out of CCL and was going nowhere. Now, on the boys side, they are in MLS Next and playing both CCL and top EDP. Slow your roll on the closed league nonsense you are bandying about on here. Time has proven you both wrong and unwise.

If through a merger it still isn't SYC's. Whoever the club they merge with who is in ECNL holds the cards. THey take your players and SYC is still no further ahead.

Is Loudoun 08 ECNL second or third tier? Loudoun has some very good players but I don’t think they got a single bit of new talent.

I’m curious to see FCV GA team! No clue if they are good but FCV does normally build/recruit good older teams.

Did SYC retain all of their players?
