| But when are we getting building updates. |
If you had been following the thread at all you'd see all the links to the board meeting with the discussion where Meren was trying to object to the motion because she hadn't seen the contract yet, and the other board members had to explain to her (again) that the motion was to start working on the contract. So I would imagine she'll get to see the contract and we'll get the updates about what is in it when it actually exists. |
Why is Meren so dumb. Like actually. She’s pathetic and bathetic. |
| The new boundary maps are up. |
| Looks like they moved Dogwood back to SLHS, fixed the Western Franklin Farm Oak Hill ES split, and kept all of Crossfield at Oakton. Westfield appears to be the same as the previous scenarios. |
| Looks like the loud rich people got what they wanted in every case. |
I am not a Westfield parent, but I'd be screaming about this. I'm not a Brookfield/Chantilly Mews parent, but I'd be screaming about this. The rest of this is acceptable, I guess. Fox Mill really should be at South Lakes, but I don't begrudge this under the circumstances. They asked for AP twenty years ago and were ignored. So, Meren can blame herself for this. If I were a Crossfield parent, I'd be disappointed. |
No surprise here. I don't dislike it. This scenario will upset the least number of people. |
| It is what I expected. I am happy with it |
| The next boundary review is going to be interesting when all the new housing has been built up next to Oakton. We'll see if the anti-RIO families with young kids turn into RIO families when the new decision becomes whether or not to move their then high-school aged kids to South Lakes or not. |
| I am a Crossfield parent and while I am disappointed that my kids won't get to go to the high school that is 5-10 minutes away from our house, I guess I am pleased with the move to Franklin-Oakton and that the majority of kids at my child's middle school will go to the same high school, which is better than the current Carson-Oakton situation. I will be curious to see how many parents send their kids to Carson for AAP in the next several years vs keeping them at Franklin. I will definitely call out the massive hypocrites who put their AAP kids at Carson to split them away from our "close rooted community" after demanding that we be moved to Franklin. |
The AAP parents will send their kids to Carson and you know it. |
| Why did Stone MS get such an increase? Seems lowkey ridiculous. |
The Westfield parents on here said they were being ignored. |
This is a change. The poor part of Brookfield that was sent to Westfield was also sent to Stone for this scenario. The Bull Run low income apartment building Seema Dixit moved from Centreville to Westfield was also switched to Stone. That puts Stone up to 98%. They kept saying all the new construction in Westfield's boundary will fill Westfield, but didn't leave any room at Stone, which means their story is BS. They basically rejiggered the MS boundaries to send almost all the local poor kids to one middle school and high school. |
