Pelosi announces impeachment inquiry

So it is ok in present day U.S. to blackmail other countries if they want to have the U.S. for an ally? Another plus for the U.S. ethical behavior now and in the past!

Title of Nobility Clause is a provision in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution, that prohibits the federal government from granting titles of nobility, and restricts members of the government from receiving gifts, emoluments, offices or titles from foreign states and monarchies without the consent of the United States Congress.

So, Trump has every right to ask for foreign leaders to investigate others in exchange for something in return as long as he gets congress to approve it first. Else he’s violating the constitution (ie breaking the law) and is subject to impeachment. Fairly simple. Trump did not ask Congress, and honestly repeatedly does not ask them for permission. He is simply exceeding his rights under our three branch system of government and needs to be removed, regardless of whether or not you agree or disagree with his policies or are Republican, Democrat, or independent. There is no arguing this point, although I am sure he will try.

Well, now. As much as you would like to claim this, it didn't happen.
Kurt Volker's testimony proved it. There was no quid pro quo.
And, Ukraine was unaware that funds were held up until a month after the call.

So, genius, tell us - how can one "extort" another country when the other country is unaware of said "extortion?"

Huh? Ukraine knew very well that they were supposed to investigate Biden, in order to get a phone call with Trump. And they know if they want the aid and future communications with Trump, they'll do whatever he asks..

And they are publicly agreeing to investigate Biden now.

When you start with lies, you come to a different conclusion, but the known facts totally contradict the items I noted above.

No. Volker claimed in his testimony that Sondland, Guiliani and Trump screwed him over. He claims that he was just trying to protect Ukraine and did not know why Trump was holding up the money.

Devin, that is exactly what this is. Sheesh.
