It is avoiding the responsibility of raising the child that those two people created. |
Why doesn’t the aborted baby even get a chance to live on? |
I’m not talking about “matters of convenience.” Do you think living with a pregnancy that is a result of rape is a matter of convenience? Do you think someone’s health, mental state, career, is a matter of convenience? Don’t bother responding if you are not addressing people’s points. Address these issues if you want me to understand that this is not about punishing women. Because when you characterize pregnancy as an “inconvenience” as opposed to a life and death matter, you are trivializing the reality of carrying a pregnancy to term. I’m not talking |
Because it is inside someone else’s body. That person’s life and health are more important. |
Read the first part of my sentence, bolded above. |
I could ask the same of the potential babies you shed every month when you get your period. Why didn't you do more to ensure your eggs were fertilized and brought to term? |
No you couldn't. |
On the contrary, it's the most responsible thing someone can do. |
No - forcing a woman to do something with her body against her will is violence against women. Forcing a woman to get a back-alley abortion and die from bleeding or infection is violence against women. Why do you hate women so much? |
I could ask the same about an actual child who needs one of your kidneys or part of your liver to survive. Why can’t the government force you to donate your body so others might live? |
Even more violent is pushing a full term child out of your vagina. Have you ever done it? |
The is fetus is dependent on the particular woman in whose uterus it resides. A baby is dependent on any adult that takes care of it. If and when a fetal transplant is possible I would expect you to be the first to sign up to receive one. |
I'd rather do that, than end it's life. |
Why do YOU, or the president, or a government bureaucrat, get to decide what’s best for a woman’s well being and not the woman herself? Are you saying that a woman can figure out whether to keep the pregnancy or not? |
Really? How many children have you adopted? |
