Pro-life = babies are the punishment for sex.
FOR WOMEN, not men. Remember it’s about punishing WOMEN for having sex.
Au contraire....the person that does not want the baby seems to be viewing it as a punishment....
Why should you carry a pregnancy and risk death of you do not want to? Isn’t having your freedom impeded considered a punishment in this country?
There are lots of things we are not free to do in this country...doesn't mean we are being punished.
Would death qualify as a punishment to you? Do you understand that the US has the highest maternal mortality rate of any developed nation?
Our laws allow for abortions where the life of mother is in danger. No. If I die from cancer, I am not being punished.
If someone prevented you from removing cancer or whatever was causing you pain or suffering, isn’t that a punishment? My mother is a physician from a country where abortions were illegal. She watched a mother of 3 bleed out and die from a botched abortion and supported choice thereafter. Do we need to have that happen in the US?

Our laws allow for abortions where the life of mother is in danger.
Why should the woman wait until her life is in danger? Isn’t that too late? Who determines whether the woman’s life is in danger? What if the woman has pre-parting depression and is suicidal? What about the fact that pregnancy changes your body and your health forever? What is the woman is raped? Who determines whether a rape actually occrred? Or better yet, who determines whether a miscarriage occurs? Did you know that there are women who have been improsoned in America for a miscarriage? Abortion is a decision that should be between the woman and her doctor. Why do you want government bureaucrats to get involved?
Yes, there are situations where the mother's well being should be considered. However, it is wrong for abortion to be used as a matter of convenience.
I’m not talking about “matters of convenience.” Do you think living with a pregnancy that is a result of rape is a matter of convenience? Do you think someone’s health, mental state, career, is a matter of convenience? Don’t bother responding if you are not addressing people’s points. Address these issues if you want me to understand that this is not about punishing women. Because when you characterize pregnancy as an “inconvenience” as opposed to a life and death matter, you are trivializing the reality of carrying a pregnancy to term. I’m not talking
Read the first part of my sentence, bolded above.
