If we accept an offer for the gold team with Coach Al and they do not have enough girls to make a team does anyone know what would happen? We are trying do decide between two clubs and at tryouts I spoke with a parent and they mentioned that they might not have enough girls for two teams. |
They will have enough for two teams. |
they have enough and somehow scored 2 of the better coaches in valor. |
It is about time the girls get a good coach. Excited to see Gus in action with them. |
Al is great too. |
Op- They will likely lower the roster meaning they will have less than 16(current roster# on current team with Coach Al) - but there are plenty of girls for a minimum of 2 teams and seems like enough for 3 teams in the 2013G group. |
Any insight into how well the 2013 team level 1 or 2s performed this season in each club? What division did they play in? Same? different? How did they perform (low/middle/top of the division)? If they’re are minimal changes in the roster I would expect the same level of performance. Also, I would go with the best team. |
Pre-ECNL (low) and NCSL Div 5 (top 7-0). There were some issues with engaged coach on Pre-ECNL which will be solved by Gus. Parents hit jackpot with that one. |
Ncsl div 5 for a second team is pretty low |
Yeah, they got seeded pretty low - not sure why. But they have destroyed just about everyone and are 7-0 as others have mentioned. I imagine they move up to NCSL div 2 or 3 next year. And reiterating other posts that they have great coaches for both teams this year (Gus and Al) who will be huge assets in individual player development, regardless of wins and losses. |
+1 |
You really want 14 max 15 on 9v9 |
Agree and as a parent I would want more like 12. |
Their top team has no active coach so they are not doing well. I have heard a lot of those girls are leaving so I am assuming they will be moving a lot of players up from the lower team to the top team. Their second team isn't in the right division so they are doing good however i would think the competition isn't great. Our neighbor plays on their top team. |
So that could be unfortunate, if the best players on Team 2 move up to Team 1, and the league moves a now-weaker Team 2 up a division or two. |
