I might agree of Stars had any quality additions but they did not. Pride is definitely the better team and if I were a Stars coach, I’d send a memo to the parents about behavior. It is not helping their brand. |
It also helps that Capital has a very strong recruiting track record.... that is a huge factor for parents to get the daughters in to some universities that are very tough to get in, and might not otherwise be admitted-- they can jump the line of the highly competitive admissions process so to speak. (Stanford, Navy, Virginia, Ivys, UNC, etc.) All schools that Capital have historically sent players to. I get it. Hence, the crazy parents on here. Remember what actress Lori Laughlin (Full House) did to get her daughters in to USC?? The woman is in prison!!! The things parents do for their kids... SMH |
Not only do people know who SD is, he’s posting all over this forum. Shame the great falls mafia can’t soprano him out. |
SD has max street cred after all this. He’s a lax tournament celebrity now. You’ve all created a monster. |
Troll... Nonsense. Rankings, records, head to head. Amazing that Pride was able to tie two top ten teams, and beat a top 20 handily in the last tournament of the year with no good players. |
Neither was Stars 27, but Cap Blue and Orange rosters are filled with them... Rosters should be coming out soon. |
Orange is not a surprise. I think Cap Blue may regret not taking a few of the kids they did not offer. Time will tell. BLC 27was a top-10 team, thats the bench mark if Cap Blue will be as good if not better. |
lol. Green is not a great color on you. |
Correct. PP is embarrassing themselves |
We get it. Your daughter isn’t good. Time to try field hockey |
| she’s a star at field hockey too and I only have to drive 1 minute. |
Oooooooooh. Burn! |
This is just a dumb argument that's already been addressed on this thread. The top MD teams are better than the top DMV teams, of course. That said, the top players on the top DMV teams can make top MD teams and contribute, as demonstrated in the past two tryout cycles--not to mention players who received offers but chose to stay in DMV. This is further supported by competitive results--at least for Pride--with ties and one or two goal losses to Hero's, M&D, MDU, and Crush over the past 13 months. Declarations of total, complete roster superiority might be fun for MD team parents or, more likely, trolls, but are unsupported by the facts. Further, the Capital 2028 team would benefit by drawing good players from Hero's, M&D, central or so. Virginia, etc, and any rational, confident parent would want the competition to make Capital Blue as good as possible. We do want them and several of them would make the team stronger. And no one should list anyone by name...obviously. |
Can we make DMV go away? Who the Hell coined that anyway? Along with NOMA and Penn Quarter. So stupid. Off topic, yes, but had to be said. |
I don't like DMV either; and was surprised when it came into common use. Negative connotations. I always used NCR (National Capital Region), but that could be a Fed thing. DC-VA-MD, is kind of a lot. |
