2026 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

The top 3-4 VA Publics are competitive with the bottom half of the ISL AA. Battlefield or Madison would be favored against Bullis or Episcopal. They would be competitive against Holton, and slight underdogs versus Holy Child.

Top MD publics are better and would be competitive against Potomac and Visi this year, not SSSAS or SR.

The SR math is a little exaggerated. They beat Potomac and STAB by one each and are hovering around .500. That makes them definitely the best of the Visi-Potomac-STAB group. SSSAS is undefeated , with some much better wins. Even if SR beats them, that brings Saints down to Earth with the entire group, and doesn’t elevate SR to the team to beat.

But it doesn’t matter, SR plays on their tiny field. The 12 upperclassmen thoroughbreds from SSSAS are going to run them into the ground on their 120 yard, big kid field.

Signed, parent of kid that was thumped by all of these teams!

Having seen both teams, I think SSSAS should be favored, but either SR or SSSAS could win on any given day. SR has at least as much team speed, despite your weird field bias.

SR #17 vs Saints #4 in a 60 yard dash, while carrying the lacrosse ball, would be quite a race.

And you could have just signed, "Saints Dad".

Surprising. Thought it would be a blowout.

Heard Visi was also without a couple of key players.

That’s ridiculous. Visi is a great program. That’s just such an arrogant Saints thing to say.

Visi has been going downhill for a few years and will be close to rock bottom after this year.

The previous poster wasn’t insulting Visi by expecting a blowout when SR just beat them pretty badly. Maybe a recency bias, but it’s only offensive if you’re over sensitive. It’s not even clear the poster is a Saints supporter. Visi is a good team with talented players and multiple D1 recruits, and on a good day with everything clicking can play with almost anyone.

These two teams often play each other close and the players know each other well. Visi should be proud with how they played, good effort, not a lot of careless plays, good D, and got a lot out of their players. SSSA did not play as clean of a game, unforced turnovers kept it close early, they just had more weapons and it was more difficult for Visi to shut off multiple threats, whereas SSSA’s D seemed focused on making things difficult for Visi’s top couple shooters.

SSSA was about to pull away at 7-4 but Visi did a great job battling for possessions and getting timely goals and scored 2 goals in the last 2 minutes to force OT. Overall, an exciting, competitive game watching these ladies play some impressive lax.

The Notre Damer needs to quit with the fake flops though! College refs won’t fall for it!

Holy Child will likely overtake Visi and/or Potomac next year in AA.

College refs fall for it more than any refs

And the 95 year old coach needs to hang it up.
