LORI LOUGHLIN HAS BEEN FIRED!!! The Queen of Hallmark is officially dethroned. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/hallmark-channel-cuts-ties-with-lori-loughlin-1203163751/ Hallmark on Thursday said it will no longer work with Lori Loughlin, the Full House actor who has become a staple on the channel over the years, after she was charged in connection with the massive college admissions fraud case. Loughlin is a series regular on Hallmark's drama When Calls the Heart, which is currently in its sixth season and is one of the most-watched shows on cable TV. All shows in development have stopped production! |
I’m so sick of rich and/or entitled people. The monster children they are raising will bring no pride to their names. I do feel sorry for the children who didn’t know though, how depressing to see that your parents view you as a trinket to be paraded around to flatter their ego. Some of the kids did not even want to attend college. |
Sweet, sweet justice. "Her fall from grace sounds like the plot of a weepy Hallmark Channel movie that no one would believe, but it’s all too real. In her fictional, TV alter-ego universe, Loughlin bounces back, stronger than ever and ready to take on the world. In reality? That won’t happen. It doesn’t really matter if Loughlin and her husband, millionaire clothing designer Massimo Giannulli, are eventually found innocent. The court of public opinion has spoken, and it’s come down heavily against the actress as just another privileged Hollywood bottom feeder." https://nypost.com/2019/03/13/lori-loughlin-has-committed-career-suicide-with-college-admissions-scandal/ |
PP again. The problem isn’t the accommodations. It’s UMC families cheating on accommodations and the lack of test tutoring for inner city kids. So fix those problems by cracking down on those who abuse accommodations and by providing tutoring to inner city kids. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water by getting rid of accommodations. |
Extra time isn't the only accommodation available, and ADHD isn't the only condition that requires levelling of the playing field. Bathroom breaks for students with Crohn's. Private room for students with Tourette's syndrome. Braille test booklet and answer keys for blind students. Snacks in test room for diabetic students who can't go 3-4 hours without eating. Large print test booklets and answer sheets for students with visual impairments. Scribe for students who break dominant wrist or hand and will be a cast on test day (usually also gets extra time bc the process takes longer). Table instead of desk for a student in a wheelchair. Sign language proctor for deaf students. Allowing everyone unlimited time does not solve the problem. ... |
Many kids don't want to attend college but parents force it. Mine did. Not a big deal. Many of these kids probably were not involved and it was all the parents. Many of these parents are not parenting and have nannies parenting and its all about image. In her case its clearly about image. |
I was wondering how the FBI found out. And now we know.. There's a paywall, but you can read the first few lines...
https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-yale-dad-who-set-off-the-college-admissions-scandal-11552588402 Basically, one of the bribers offered up this tidbit in exchange for leniency for another law he broke -- pumping and dumping stocks. The rich law breakers turning on each other. I love it. |
Sephora terminated Olivia Jade's (Loughlin's daughter) makeup and influencer contract today |
This. Give everyone the same time and let the ones done early leave. The TRULY exceptional kids can then brag that not only did they get a perfect score, they left with XXX hours to spare. They will take pride in not staying the entire time. |
UMC aren't paying for cheating, the upper class are. Your financial opinions are really skewed you think these are UMC. |
We’re talking here about abusing accommodations and pp’s suggestion to get rid of accommodations. Not paying $500,000 to get Olivia Jade into USC. Try to keep up. |
Letting people leave early is a security issue for the test. It won't happen. Which is fine. Everyone can sit there all day. Students will survive. |
My guess is that it's the Center for Early Education, Crossroads (K-12), or Sierra Canyon (also K-12). |
Yep. People don't realize just how fast brands and Hollywood networks will react to save their reputations. Both mother and daughter kicked to the curb less than 24 hours. |
Oh, look, nothing to see here, just that one of the richest (and what do you bet most prominent) in this scandal is avoiding being named. And their daughter is a current student at Yale!
