https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/02/politics/election-poll-walz-vance-debate/index.html "Among debate watchers, Walz remains the candidate who’s seen more positively and as more in touch with their needs and vision for the country. Vance, who suffers from more of an image deficit among both viewers and the public at large, boosted his standing among the debate audience, outperforming expectations and gaining ground on the share who perceive him as qualified. He was also narrowly seen as doing a better job than Walz of defending his running mate. Both men, the poll finds, are viewed by a majority of debate watchers as qualified to assume the presidency if needed. And practically none of the voters who tuned in saw the debate as a reason to change their votes." At the end of the day, this won't change anyone's opinions. |
Blah blah nothing matters so no one should try to do anything ever, except whine nihilistically on message boards. Surely by ignoring what candidatea say, we'll motivate them to be better because they just can't stand being ignored by dropouts. |
It’s only a PR campaign. The Heritage Foundation has flooded the agencies with FOIA requests to prepare for the purge. Project 2025 is alive and well. |
This!! Vance is so much the guy in the bar that gives you the creep factor. Telling you all the things he thinks you want to hear. And actually sending up the hairs on the back of your neck. I have a very primitive “seek safety” reaction to Vance. |
So Vance, a trained and certified lawyer, understands the difference between a Federal and State, unlike you. Maybe ask your biglaw DH to explain. |
Harris is hardly an unknown quantity. she has been a vice president for almost 4 years, a senator before that and the AG of the largest state in the union before that. I mean, compare that to Vance, who has been a senator for barely two years and before that was a hack author of lies and the apprentice to a billionaire. |
Exactly. The main point of VP debates is to demonstrate whether each candidate can pass the most basic test of appearing presidential enough to serve as president--if they ever need to be. They both passed that test. VP debate performances rare change opinions. |
LOL, those are the hairs you are splitting? If you have to go that route, you already lose the debate on the topic. |
he wrote the forward to the book by the author of project 2025 https://newrepublic.com/article/184393/jd-vance-violent-foreword-kevin-roberts-project-2025-leader-book |
Vance certainly proved himself to be expertly skilled at gaslighting and rewriting history. He was poised and articulate as he blatantly lied for 90 minutes. |
To be clear: are you, like Walz, saying that it's wrong, to even report the death of a living human infant, not physically connected to its mother? Do you also support parents withdrawing care from their teenage children who are "unviable" without medical intervention? An infant who is alive is "unviable"? If not, when does life begin for you? And you wonder why the right finds you gruesome? |
Trump is going to be pissed off that his VP did better than he did. |
Let me guess, you only split hairs when they are on cats: no, no one's killing and cats, try are just crashing their cars into school busses and trucks killing people. Not cats, so doesn't matter. |
Thanks for the clarification, PP. I also want to point out that Project 2025 has not "closed up shop" as the PP asserted. The head, Paul Gans, stepped down in July after criticism from Trump but the website is still up and running and the portal for collecting resumes for a future GOP/MAGA government is still accepting resumes. Further, a month before he resigned, the head of Project 2025 said the following:
Project 2025 director steps down amid backlash from Trump https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/30/politics/project-2025-paul-dans/index.html |
Exactly. We saw the real Vance when he attached the moderators for fact checking and refused to say Trump lost in 2020. |
