There are no flights out MAGA

Maybe US needs to take control of Donbask International Airport like we did in Kabul?

The difference is that we were already there. It was our fight. This is not our fight. Any US military involvement makes this situation worse and not better.

The US/Ukrainian government forces controlled Donbask International Airport before yesterday.

The US was not at war there, unlike in Afghanistan.

Hopefully Biden was able to convince other G7 members to ban Russia from the SWIFT payment system. Sounded like some did not want to go that far. This will be a good tell of how strong Biden is.

Ironic given this is the guy who wined and dine on Putin's dime in 2015. These guys are really good at gaslighting.

No. Just no. Look at history, and apply it to what would happen if we took in a bunch of Ukrainians.

In 1959 the people of Cuba overthrew the fascist Batista regime. Tens of thousands of Cuban elites and capitalist kleptocrats fled Cuba, most going to south Florida. Their descendants are STILL voting republican today. They are responsible for Florida still being a red state. They grew up their whole lives being brainwashed about how JFK and Democrats let Castro take over the country and caused their parents of grandparents to flee for their lives. And they’re still holding a grudge and keeping republicans in power over that.

Now extrapolate that to potentially millions of Ukrainian refugees coming here. They would settle here, have children, and brainwash them about how President Biden and Democrats let Russians take their country from them. Those kids would end up just like the successive generations of Cubans who are hard-core GOP’rs. And there would be far more of them, and they would be highly politically motivated to continue to punish Dems in America. This will affect the Democrats for generations if we take in a bunch of Ukrainians who wouldn’t fight for their own country when Russia attacked them.

We cannot admit Ukrainian refugees. It would be an unmitigated political disaster within 20 years.

Oh are we running political tests on refugees now? Despicable.

President Joe Biden has been presented with a menu of options for the U.S. to carry out massive cyberattacks designed to disrupt Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations in Ukraine, four people familiar with the deliberations tell NBC News.

Two U.S. intelligence officials, one Western intelligence official and another person briefed on the matter say no final decisions have been made, but they say U.S. intelligence and military cyber warriors are proposing the use of American cyberweapons on a scale never before contemplated. Among the options: disrupting internet connectivity across Russia, shutting off electric power, and tampering with railroad switches to hamper Russia’s ability to resupply its forces, three of the sources said.

“You could do everything from slow the trains down to have them fall off the tracks,” one person briefed on the matter said.

You know as well as I do that the US involvement in the two countries was quite different. Deposing a government and rebuilding a new government basically from scratch is pretty different than having some special forces doing some things in Ukraine. If that was the bar for saying we're at war we would have been at war hundreds of times in the last twenty years. But we weren't.

If they don’t, Russia will be knocking on their door.

What is your source?

I think most Americans would not support that.

You posted this about 3 hours after we already knew Germany and Italy were joined together to oppose that.

Why would these people be speaking with the press and sharing such specific info?

PC was supposed to start at 12noon, then 1230, now it’s after 130
When the heck is Joe going to speak? Always late

I agree this would be a terrible move.
