We just attended 3 MLB games with attendance around 17,000, but it was outdoors. We are vaccinated and masks weren’t required.

Stop acting like we don’t have packed concert venues here in dc, as well. Have you ever been to echostage? You can barely move. It is wall to wall people. Much more likely to spread anything than any stadium with seats.

Biden voters here.

We are at Cedar Point this weekend in Ohio.

No masks, inside or out. Feels like normal. We are fully vaxxed, and unworried. But I would be very worried if I was unvaccinated.

Why? Have you seen the death rates in vaccinated in the UK? Much higher than unvaccinated. I would be careful and mask up either way. Delta is terrifying

I still have my Biden/Harris sign. Definitely NOT a Trumper and we were fully vaccinated in February. We started cautiously eating indoors last summer, but mostly stuck to outdoor patio seating. We both work in elementary schools and masked while at work. We masked everywhere we were required to do so and now we don’t mask where it’s not required. I posted about attending MLB games. and we weren’t worried since we are vaccinated. If I go somewhere and a mask is required we mask without a problem, but I don’t understand the negative comments about the vaccinated not wearing a mask in situations where they aren’t required.

What crap are you talking? You can just google to get the number of deaths in the UK. No one is dying. Daily deaths are averaging less than 10 people out of 60,000,000.
It is far from terrifying.

DP
Probably because they are vaccinated and the vaccine works against this strain.

“Fortunately we’re really lucky because the vaccine still seems to work against this,” said Hoyen.

BS. Vaccines are readily available to anyone over 12. If people choose not to get them, that is on them. We don’t owe them anything anymore. But, hey, you do you. Wear a hazmat suit while hiding on your basement for the next 10 years.

We are fully vaccinated and not concerned. Not masking any more.

Exactly. PP is an antivaxxer troll LIAR.

806 cases hospitalized, Of these, 527 were UNvaccinated, and only 84 of the 806 had both shots.

LIAR LIAR LIAR!

Sigh. You clearly haven't been paying attention or care about the unvaccinated then, which includes kids.

Kids, who are very unlikely to get sick from COVID...

This is simply not true. Wherever did you get this idea?

We are vaccinated but still masking inside public places, mainly because it's been so nice not to be sick this year. Assume there will be a Delta variant surge this Fall / winter due to travel and antivaxxers.

The U.K. has used a combination of Pfizer, Moderna, and AZ. Most people I know actually got the “posh vaccines”…I got the AZ one though.

They have not yet released any stats on which vax the people landing in hospital got. I suspect it’s AZ.

The data is here. Both pfizer and AZ are highly effective against hospitalization:

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/vaccines-highly-effective-against-hospitalisation-from-delta-variant

This anti vaccine nonsense is irritating.

“ The analysis suggests:

the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 96% effective against hospitalisation after 2 doses
the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is 92% effective against hospitalisation after 2 doses
These are comparable with vaccine effectiveness against hospitalisation from the Alpha variant.”

The only issue is the death rate is higher for vaccinated but we don't know why yet. Perhaps age.

There are a very small number of people who have a very poor immune system in general and don't generate an immune response to the vaccines or COVID itself. I would guess that this is what we are seeing here in the UK data. The absolute number are so small I'm not worried about it.
