Arlington Coaches Assignments are out!

Question - if given the option, would you choose a higher team with less playing time or a lower team where you would be the star player?

It depends on how much worse the players on the lower team are - if they cannot receive passes etc., it won't be fun.

DP. That’s weird given that black is the lowest team.

I think Arlington wants to be careful about coaches posting pretty political messages on their Twitter accounts.

Someone told me that Arlington held a zoom call earlier this week and it was stated that Coach Inty would be coaching the U15 Academy team. But it was announced earlier that he would be the U16 White coach and the U14 Blue coach. I'm afraid that, if he's coaching the U15 Academy team, he won't be able to coach his other teams. Does anyone know what's going on there? Did they change up coaching assignments?

Sure, and people are free to object to playing for people with those views, which I hope you cannot only understand one day, but express better than whatever gibberish you posted above.

And people are free to hire or fire coaches who express objectionable views. Liberty has all sorts of complications, doesn’t it? Try to understand that the first amendment protects individuals only from governmental restrictions on speech, not on commercial consequences for speech that private citizens find objectionable. So you are free to express yourself; prepare to take the consequences.

How have we got to a place where people don't want to interact with people who disagree with them about something. Personally I want my kid's soccer coach to be a good soccer coach. I'm not bothered what his opinions are on other topics.

At some point, you will meet one where it makes a difference. Believe me.

I have no idea what opinion was expressed - is that really the case here?

Certainly I see people getting crazily bent out of shape about all sorts of things these days - where as a society we would be far better off allowing disagreements to occur, attempting to understand and learn from the perspective of people with whom we disagree, and remaining friends in spite of that.

If the disagreements were about pineapple on pizza, i’d be inclined to agree and we’d all have a good laugh.. unfortunately they aren’t.
