Or a group practicing at the same time. I would expect to be told if there were two groups in the facility at the same time. |

This is consistent with my experiences elsewhere. The health department rules dictate who is contacted. If you are t contacted, the have deemed that you are not at risk. |
Anyone in the facility within at least 7 days should be notified. |
No one needs details except someone who entered the facility the week of XXX tested positive for covid. Everyone within the last week should be notified. |
If you swim at that facility you are impacted. The kids touch everything. |
Do you feel the same way about entering the grocery store with 7 days after someone there tested positive? |

Yes, I care. Except swim we are not socializing and only shop every 10 days or so. We are doing our part, so should others. |

PP - I mean this in all good faith. If you are concerned about DC touching something in a pool area that was touched by someone else 7 days ago, perhaps you should not be participating right now. Especially, if your concern is b/c you have someone in the household with high risk(s). The number of people, especially younger people who have no sxs is very large. One positive case really means little in the bigger picture. With the lag time in COVID testing to results, DC will likely have been through the pool multiple times by the time you hear something.
This is why the protocols are so important. There is very little evidence of significant exposure from light touch areas. And anything more than light touch should be cleaned regularly. Hand sanitizer should take care of some exposure. The bigger issue as everyone knows is being in close proximity for an extended period of time. Those are the people who should be informed as soon as possible. You may also want to get the phone app. You can track your exposure on those apps also. |

This. If you haven't been following the science enough to know this you might want to reconsider your child's participation. Everyone who was in the facility at the time the positive person was there and perhaps the swim group that came after should be notified. If there was more than one group both should be notified. Any other staff in the building should also be aware. It doesn't mean they shiould quarantine necesarily but it means they should be monitoring themselves closely. |
| RMSC MLK parent here. I wish we had at least been told which group, so that we would have more info about possible exposure. There are dozens of kids who swim on Sundays, so it's not helpful to say a swimmer in the pool last Sunday tested positive. Don't tell us who it is, but at least say "the swimmer was in the pool before 10 AM" or something like that? |

Science says everyone should be notified. Its called contract tracing. Its not just RMSC swimming but other folks as well. If we could opt out and keep our spot, we would do it but we were told we'd lose the spot if we don't go. If kids were in close contact, they absolutely should be quarantined especially given the lack of air circulation and other issues. |
+1, They don't need to disclose who but they absolutely need to disclose a swimmer swam on these days the past week in the AM/PM or when ever generic time. |
