I’m so, so sad that DD will be missing one of the most significant parts of life

You wrote that, OP. I can't believe you did. Makes you look so stupid and shallow.

To many people, high school isn't anything special compared to other experiences. You are very wrong to believe that senior year of high school is the be-all, end-all.

If you peaked as a senior in high school, and lived your best life then... I mean, you agree that it's sad, and a reflection on you, right?

All stages of life have fun and memorable experiences. Please don't stuff your senior's head full of regret and disappointment. Work on yourself. You sorely need it.

Agree
Personally I would have loved to have been distance-learning for high school. Honestly, the funnest days in my life were in my 20s when I was carefree and I traveled the world. Not that I don’t love raising children, but I really enjoy traveling the world.

Personally I wonder if large family weddings where people fly in from all over the country will be a thing of the past and that makes me sad for my daughters since I loved our large extended family wedding and I wonder if they will have the same someday.

Why in the world would that be a thing of the past after Covid passes? My niece is getting married next month and people are flying in from all over the country. Her fiancés parents are even flying in from India.

I enjoyed college way more than HS, but I still hold many special memories from that time in my life.
