No to all of the above. So why is he so afraid to release his taxes?

Maybe because he just does not have to, maybe it’s that simple. There is no rule that a candidate has to disclose them, so he doesn’t want to. I swear it’s like telling a 5 year old they can’t have a cookie. "But why not?’ Because I said no.

That's a big "maybe". Or maybe it's something much more sinister. This is a legitimate concern.

Maybe it’s this, maybe it’s that. Maybe it’s nothing like the mueller report.

Just because you think there must be something there, doesn’t mean there is. He said no you can’t see them, he is allowed to say that. Throwing a tantrum doesn’t help.

Can I see your returns?

Exactly. Mr. "Sinister" can post his returns right here.

He must be hiding something big that he doesn't want people to see it. What could it be? He's embarrassed to show how little money he actually makes? He doesn't want people to know he's a tax dodge? Something is going on that he is so secretive.

Right. Trump's sister decided that now is the right time to retire. The ethics investigation into her taxes was mere coincidence.

There's no reason that a presidential candidate should not release his tax returns. Since Trump was a bit distracted and forgot to do it then, now's a good time. Right?

It's not how little he pays in taxes -- he's said before that just makes him "smart."

It's how little he makes and how many Russians he owes. He's nowhere near as rich as he wants you to think he is, and he's in debt to Putin's buddies up to his eyeballs.

All POTUS/VPOTUS candidates should:
- provide tax returns to public
- provide financial summary (all assets, debts) to vetting committee
- submit to background check

Just to ensure no corruption or foreign interference.

Yes, there should be a law requiring public financial transparency for all prresidemts. But, that's a separate issue.

More importantly even, the President is not above the law. The IRS must comply with the current law and hand over any tax returns requested by the tax writing cmtes of Congress. If they do not, then the officials not complying are personally liable

Ways and Means Chairman Neal has given the IRS a hard deadline of April 23 to comply with his request for the tax returns. He ends the letter with

"I expect a reply from the IRS by 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2019. Please know that if you fail to comply, your failure will be interpreted as a denial of my request."

She speaks the truth!

Hillary Clinton used Tax Day to take a jab at Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig over their refusal to release President Trump’s tax returns.

“Millions of Americans will put tax checks in the mail today. Meanwhile, the secretary of the treasury and head of the IRS continue to refuse to turn over Trump's tax returns to Congress for reasons even they can't clearly articulate,” the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee and former secretary of State tweeted Monday.

Why doesn’t trumpy release previous years tax returns say; 2015, 2014, 2013... I really think he could use his previous tax returns as an example of what a good citizen he has been.

Yup. Kamala harris releases 15 years of returns today and Beto and Bernie released 10 years each.

Because there is no law saying you need to see them. Just because you want to, does not mean anything.

There is a law that says the Congress can see the last 6 years. None of us need to see the tax forms, but Congress does and it has a legal right to them. Why do you keep stating this? It is wrong.

Note the word YOU. Are YOU in Congress? There is also no law saying HE needs to release them. The Law is the IRS must release them if requested AND it is a felony for anyone that sees them to discuss them.

When I keep stating there is no law saying HE must release them and the public has a right to see them, where am I wrong?

You aren't wrong. I hope Mnuchin and anyone else who is blocking the Congressional right to obtain the returns spends time in jail.
