Would you put your white kid in KIPP or Center City?

He/She will be just as fine as the only black/brown child would be in an all white environment. Whatever that means to you..... I think it would be a good exercise to consider the reality of many minorities since you made the decision to create that environment for your child. Also, let it guide how you interact and treat others (or allow them to be treated or talked about) when you're in the majority and they're in the minority.

Short answer - get a good teacher and you'll get a good education, regardless of the other peoples skin in the classroom.
This is not necessarily true.

KIPP DC schools are all different. Many are strict. Many are disrespectful to black kids and may not even know it. Blind to the bias and disrespect based on race and class. They can put on a good show to get political favors.

Most white kids in the city don’t need KIPP, KIPP is for poor kids who’s parents want a program that will weed out the knuckle heads. The standard of knuckle head is different for the different sides of the economic spectrum. Rich white kids tend to get many chances to succeed, poor black kids, not so many
