Why all the agents, long guns, etc?
Is Stone a flight risk? Did they expect him to resist?

This was a show. The SC overdid this one.

Overdid it? Disagree.

So, you think this dramatic arrest was warranted? It's not like Stone has been on the run. He has been very public.

He might have sought to destroy evidence like Manafort who got similar treatment.

So, a slew of agents with long guns do a pre-dawn arrest? When he has been saying for some time now that he expected an indictment? Really?
I disagree.
I have respect for Mueller. But, this move reeks of "I have power." I don't think it was necessary and was simply a dramatic show.
And, the fact that the media was tipped makes it appear even more of a show.

The media has been staking out Stone for days.

I was about to challenge you on that, but I couldn't come up with anyone.

Raj Shah is the only one I can think of. And Mattis, but that’s different.

Nope. Raj is still there. An honest person would not remain in that shiitshow, knowing all that has happened.

Raj Shah left WH last month and joined a lobbyist group.

Isn't there a rule about not joining a lobbyist group for a period of time after leaving federal service?

I do not think there is - Trump had promised to implement one along with draining the swamp...waiting for that one...may be he will drain Mexico’s swamp...

Lots of media were there including fox.

Nice try

Why tip-off media?

There was no tip-off. Grand Jury met yesterday after a long time. The last time they met the very next day they indicted 12 Russians. Yesterday they were also hearing from Corsi’s stepson. Corsi is the one who was working with Stone to get info from Wikileaks. Since yesterday media is expecting indictments- so they must be camping in front of regular suspects homes for scoop.

Of course it is - a warning to other traitors. So thrilled to see this. My day is made!

I don’t think anyone has posted the actual indictment - it’s here:

12. After the July 22, 2016 release of stolen DNC emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. STONE thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1.

In other words, the Trump Campaign was not just receiving information from Stone, but rather was actively soliciting information. In other words, Stone and the Trump Campaign were working as accomplices. So if Stone gets tied to a crime related to the emails, then the Trump Campaign is tied too (as well as the "senior official" individually, and whoever directed him to contact Stone).

Yup. “WAS DIRECTED” is doing a lot of work there.

Wow. Yup.

Probably good reporting. No evidence the FBI tipped off CNN. Stop making up evidence to fit your narrative.

Nope. CNN reported unusual grand jury activity yesterday. Guessed it was Stone and sent a team to Florida. The reporter made a statement. Remember, the federal Courts run out of money today.

On air, CNN just said they’ve been camping out at his house for days.

Good morning Fox News acolyte! Yes, I see this is how they're covering this. Poor Roger. Everyone else seemed to know this was coming, except for him.

The courts scrounged up more money, through the end of the month. Then they're done.
