And let the watering down continue.

Well, Loudoun will stay very strong and competitive with this addition. I don't see many A team kids leaving Loudoun now.

Time will tell. Some folks may like the idea of 6 to 8 league games a season. All jokes aside this doesn’t help the development of the kids in our area.
The 04s and 03s around here were a perfect example. There aren’t enough “elite” players for these “elite” teams

While the teams themselves may not be pockets of soccer powerhouses, I believe it is safe to say that with BRYC, McLean, Spirit, VDA, Loudoun, and FCV the kids are actually getting quality coaching overall. That in and of itself is quite good. More and more kids are being exposed to quality coaching across all of these clubs, by and large, and that is a good thing for soccer and development.

arl. sccer is not on that da/ecnl list
where does that leave them. any word?

It leaves them not on the list. The future for their kids is State Cup, King of CCL team and ODP.

No the sky is falling in NoVA and all these options are horrible for parents and families according to the soccer expert who grew up when ODP was all the rage and has coached too and who know everything and everyone in youth soccer

I don't think we've seen any announcements from DA about new clubs or pilots, just the ECNL announcement

That's super funny. Should have included a link to that photo of the 3 Kings holding their CCL trophies. :->

When do ECNL, DA, or others finish out their welcoming announcements? did it go well into April?

Have VDA or FCV given out any early offers like Spirit did?

ECNL won't be done giving out offers until May at least, as clubs essentially cannot even look at other ECNL players until after May 1.

If not been following, major NoVA changes from Big 3 pretty much already out ... not much changing:

Arlington - Limited Boys DA & CCL/ODP/State Cup Girls (no Girls DA)
Loudoun - Limited Boys DA (no Boys ECNL) & ECNL Girls
McLean - Boys ECNL (no Limited Boys DA) & ECNL Girls

Rest of NoVA landscape unchanged from last year: DCU, Spirit, FCV, BRYC, VDA, etc. all status quo.

If you need official there won't be much more as nothing for Arlington to announce, Loudoun already announced, and McLean announcing tonight.

ASA????

MYS/ASA? been there tried that; MYS has nightmare cultural problems.
ASA ECNL? ECNL becomes CCL; money grab with same clubs back playing each other; takes the "elite" out of Elite Clubs National League.
ASA U13 Pilot? Don't tease; money grab for one year and back to Red.
ASA FULL DA? ding, ding, ding; Surprise! Attract players from two nearby ECNL clubs and others; cut out the local Red team fat; and give WS a run for local player pool and the money(grab).

USSDA could snuff out ECNL with an ASA franchise.

Problem: no fields for 4x weekly training
