And rightfully so, if there is information that leads him to believe she indeed broke the law

You guys do realize that most of what we are seeing is just grandstanding. Short of something very damaging, Sessions will be confirmed and there will be some Democrats who support his confirmation as well as all Republicans. Democrats are trying to bloody Sessions but the reality is that once he is in office - and for that matter this applies to all the other nominees - no one remembers the critiques of former nominees.

I think the vote will be something like 70-30 in favor of confirmation.

Of course I realize that. I still want to watch it so I can be informed about what happened and form my own opinions of the questions and how they were asked and answered.

What I find more interesting is the positioning of some Democratic senators in their questions because I believe they are looking at 2020 when some may choose to run for president.

An example is Cory Booker, who is actually going to testify against Sessions - a total break with tradition because senators don't testify against another senator who has been nominated. Booker is planning on running in 2020 and I think that is behind his decision to testify against him. IMO, it will backfire against Booker.

Poor move on his part. It will backfire on him.

Booker is such a phony. John Lewis is also testifying against Sessions - he's a much more suitable and authentic voice. Booker needs to shut his dumb trap.

I pray to god the Democrats don't nominate Booker.

Given what it will do for his record of his passing legislation, testifying absolutely make it seems like he's running for Pres. Look at the legislative records of the last couple of D-pres candidates!

I'm a fairly conservative voter who lives in GA. I met John Lewis once and consider it a privilege to have shaken his hand. I really admire him!

No. It will not. It will unite minorities, most women, and all people who now loathe Trump and the 50,000,000 who will loathe his administration even though Trump will have been impeached, his lapdog Pence will also be loathed.
