I do kind of regret picking Williams over MIT back in 1991....I could have ridden that 90's internet wave to a lot more money. Oh well. You're right, I guess I am living in comparative poverty, Arlington is only the fifth wealthiest county in the country and my household income is only three times the average for the DC area and my kids are only getting the most expensive per-pupil education in the state. You're right, I'm the worst parent ever and I have made terrible, terrible decisions.

And nobody is more racist against Latinos than Asians. They are some of the worst offenders.

Please explain.

My Korean friends will not send their kids to school with Latinos. That is because they are racist. Not complicated.

Maybe because they know most are illegals and low performing ESOL students

Yes. They think that way about an entire race of people, because they are racist.

Ok so what went wrong after your parents paid for Williams? In particular, what bad decisions did you make that has caused you to live in a poor neighborhood with bad schools?

+1. I also wonder why that parent would make such a decision, given how very few Kenmore/Wakefield students ever come close to a Williams or an MIT.

+100. Williams really should respond. I'm certain his parents would like an explanation for why their grandchildren are falling behind. Wakefield is not a path to Williams. LOL

OK, this must be Yorktown students posting, because I just can't believe adults are this dumb.

+1000. Wakefield has a long and distinguished history of sending kids to MIT and Williams.

The SAT scores at Wakefield are not quite Williams-quality for any demographic.

Um, you're not getting in Williams or MIT with Yorktown's 592 verbal or 599 math either, buddy.

Hilarious. But if you're white I guess your best shot at getting into Williams is at W-L. 636 verbal. 617 Math.

So hilarious, because my friend who teaches at Yorktown was just commenting that Wakefield students had scored acceptances to a few elite schools Yorktown kids couldn't snag. Guess it's not all about SAT's...

Where is the guy who peaked at Williams upon graduating in 1995 and spent the next 2 decades in free fall right into a neighborhood that feeds into Wakefield??

Where is the guy that is so bothered about other people's real estate choices? Are you that bothered that someone has made a savvier investment than you? They aren't afraid of brown people, so they have a nicer home, greater potential for appreciation, better commute, and his kids will have a better shot at a more prestigious college. All while benefiting from a more diverse educational experience. I'm sorry your fear has kept you from these things. Maybe your children will do better.
