| This might be a stupid question, but I don't know the answer and I'm hoping someone does. If they are able to get all of her phone records without physically having her phone, can law enforcement also see where the phone is right now? Seems like that should be possible, as long as the battery didn't die. |

You're assuming she has navigation or GPS location on. Her find my phone feature has to be turned on and you need a password to get into that.
I think they can tell where the pings from her last text came from but that was sent last week. |
| Her cell phone was in her dads name. It was easier for them to get her records. She downloaded some info they really wanted before she went missing. I got this info from another web site. |
How do they know she downloaded info? |
| I guess there is a Sherlock Holmes in everybody of us! Dang it! |
What other "site" did you get this from? A legit news site or FU? |
Maybe Dad has access to basic info like minutes used? |
|
Does anyone know how her family knew there were downloads on her phone?
Also, I wonder if her last text at 10:50am on Wednesday was alarming in any way. The police really hasn't released much information, obviously because they feel it's better for their investigation. But I get the sense they feel she may have gone off purposefully based on the way they are phrasing things and not releasing particular info. Just my theory. |

Reminds me a bit of the Maura Murray case.

I wondered that too. They said she has been missing since 11 am, but if her last text was at 10:50---I don't know if someone texts me I don't really consider them "missing" 10 minutes later, unless we were mid conversation about something important and the texts just stop. |
I believe she was reported missing on Friday. |
My understanding from the news reports is that they wanted to check if she downloaded anything (like trail maps), not that they had reason to know she downloaded something. |
The local news. |
| So this is complete gossip, but friends who were camping at Shenandoah this weekend said the word up there from the camp host is that she left suicide notes at home and in her car. Again, may be completely untrue. |
Gossip from where? Who would have told you this? |
