Lamar Odom fighting for life. Found at Bunny Ranch brothel

I hope he makes it, but if not khloe should do the right thing and make sure his money goes to his two children. She should make sure their college education and other expenses are covered.

She seems like she would do right by his children. In fact, she would probably be the best "protector" of his assets and ensure things are squared away for the kids when they are old enough/responsible to manage whatever they inherit.

+1. Khloe seems like she will handle the situation the best.

Why does it seem like overdoses occur when people start getting clean then relapse? Is the body THAT quick to adjust to life without the drug, that it just can't handle it when it gets back in the system?

Wen Cory Monteith died, this was the suggested reason. He had been without drugs for awhile, tried an amount that his body could no longer handle, and he died.

Correct me if I'm wrong, DCUM. And I'm not a doctor, so I would also like to hear a more chemistry-laden answer to that.

Seriously. The dude overdosed on drugs at a brothel. He dug his own grave. Sad story, but there are sadder ones out there.

And they get coverage too. My sister's news station did a 4 minute story this morning on a local pregnant woman with leukemia. Lamar's life isn't less valuable or important because he was a drug addict.

+100

Thank you. It makes me sad to read posts treating addicts like yesterday's trash. A lot of people here really lack compassion.

You're right, but there are also many of us out here who truly care.

Unlike the Kardashians, Lamar has actual earned achievements.

Ha! Professional sports are entertainment you dolt!

Working hard, developing a skill and earning a living playing a sport are a lot more impressive than having a rich father and making a sex tape because you are starved for fame.

If you think an NBA career is the equivalent to 'famous for being famous' I don't know what to say - I am not the dolt in this situation.

Same with Philip Seymour Hoffman - I believe the story is, once they're clean it takes a lot less drugs to produce a reaction. However, the addict remembers how much they were taking immediately prior to them getting clean, often times starts with that quantity and sends themselves into overdose as a result.
I also believe I've heard that most death by overdoses happen after a stint of rehab/being clean vs. working themselves into bigger and bigger quantities of drugs for exactly this reason.

But, also not a doctor.

I think so too. I read somewhere she flew the kids and their mom out to Vagas to be with Lamar. I think she's just heart broken and wants to do the right thing for wveryone.

I'm not the PP, but I think his career and hers are about at the same level. Sports are for people who can't do better things.

NP. That is absurd. Everyone has different talents.

Maybe he didn't have the ability to cure AIDS or write a beautiful symphony, but something tells me you don't, either.

Having an athletic ability and nourishing it isn't less-than. I can't stand snobs like you. Everyone has to work with what they are given.

Or they can work harder to do something worthwhile. We will have to agree to disagree.
