Lamar Odom fighting for life. Found at Bunny Ranch brothel

Herbal viagara overdose at the Love Ranch is not a terribly dignified way to go...I suppose that would be listed as "passed away suddenly" in an obit.

What has happened isn't funny. But the circumstances are just appalling. It was like that dermatologist in NY. Horrible and embarrassing and just a Bizarre and shocking situation.

America's obsession with anything Kardashian has always confused me. Crap like this is what the media goes crazy for, but not topics with actual substance. I guess we are just that shallow, or it wouldn't be the case.

I don't watch anything Kardashian but as a basketball fan (Laker fan), I am concerned with him. I hope he gets better and heals but it seems like this is another Bobbi Kristina

I should have clarified myself, I was speaking much more generally than this one incident.

Complete tangent, but I was surprised to hear on a "Wait Wait" podcast, that Kim Kardashian was the second-nicest guest the producer had ever spoken with, surpassed only by Carol Burnett. And she did seem to have a good sense of humor about herself during her appearance.

This should be in the sports forum, not entertainment.

Unlike the Kardashians, Lamar has actual earned achievements.

There is only so much you can "be there" for an addict before you stray into enabling territory. Just because someone distances themselves from an addict when the addict is in the throes of it doesn't mean they aren't waiting on the sidelines to help them get clean if they want it.

+2, the best thing Khloe did was leave him.. that is what people do when they love an addict who is not quitting.

+1000.

Seriously. The dude overdosed on drugs at a brothel. He dug his own grave. Sad story, but there are sadder ones out there.

He was doing cocaine and overdosed. I think the love shack gave the fake viagra story to get the heat off of them.

And they get coverage too. My sister's news station did a 4 minute story this morning on a local pregnant woman with leukemia. Lamar's life isn't less valuable or important because he was a drug addict.

+100

Thank you. It makes me sad to read posts treating addicts like yesterday's trash. A lot of people here really lack compassion.

+1. I truly believe that his departure from the Lakers was a very critical time for him. It seemed to be at that point where his and Khloe's relationship took a turn for the worst and we began hearing stories of drugs etc.

This article really says very little new, but the "title" isn't a surprise. Kidneys are a HUGE deal to a person's health.
