Has anyone ever met a celebrity?

Had lunch with the band Dishwalla in the late 90s.

Okay, so we weren't engaged in conversation. We weren't even seated at the same table! But we were the only two parties at an otherwise empty restaurant, so there is that. ?

I met Bill Paxton at a bar years ago. He was with some costars because they were filming a movie. One of them bought me a drink, but he isn't as well known. Bill signed an autograph for me. He was nice to me.

Also met Franny Cobain. We didn't chat long, but she was nice to me.

Had Obama as a professor. Randomly, for a quarter, was on the same work out schedule as Michelle. We'd see each other on our elliptical and just sort of nod, sigh, and get started. I had just had a kid as well and I think we were both post-postpartum, exhausted, lumpy women who were trying to get back in shape.

Their kids were young, like toddler, baby age maybe? They lived in a small condo building down the street from me in Hyde Park. I'd see Michelle take the kids for walks and stuff around the Point.

It's funny looking back. If you would have asked me, I wouldn't have guessed in a million years what life had in store for them. She looks great.

I still haven't lost the last 15 pounds of baby weight.

While I was living in NYC, I saw Alec Baldwin on 59th St (Central Park South) one night. He was on the phone talking business or something.
On another occasion, I saw Adrien Brody on 5th Ave. He was wearing a fur coat and really stood out because it wasn't coat weather. Big nose.

Randy Travis (seemed nice enough) at a restaurant near Santa Fe, Sally Fields (from a distance) at a restaurant in Aspen. Within the last five years, Peter Frampton (sweet) and Ted Nugent (dick) backstage. Many years ago I ran into John Cusack on the street in Chicago. My friend said she loved him in Ferris Bueller. He didn't appreciate that.

I ran into Senator Elizabeth Warren outside the CVS in Penn Quarter. I knew she owns a condo nearby but I was surprised to see her on the street.
I stared at her for a few seconds, looking completely confused and she stared back. Then I walked away. I wish I had said something.

Chris Coleman and Holly Williams at their concert at The Hamilton and at her concert at The Lisner. She's adorable and we sometimes tweet back and forth. I made the cutest hat for their new daughter.

Mike Meyers and his (now ex) wife in an elevator in Beverly Hills. Both were dressed up to go somewhere; I was 8 months pregnant and he made a joke about not getting stuck. Really nice folk.

Jewel multiple times. Her father Atz as well. He's just a gem of a man. She's a sweetheart but has a definite edge. Her new memoir she's writing will be interesting.

Ken Cuccinelli. Very warm and engaging and a great conversationalist.

Brent and Norma Bozell. Great people.

Tristan Prettyman - some emailing back and forth. Love her friend Anya Marina too.

Mark Levin - Just as prickly off-air as on-air.

Nancy Travis - Graduated with her. She is one of the most genuine people ever!

Doug Bradley

numerous band members which I won't bother to mention on here because probably no one would know who they are anyway

I'm also related to Richard Linklater, so have met Ethan Hawk and Partricia Arquette (they are family friends)

Have also met Kevin Bacon.

Were you an extra on Buffy?

Or in the Buffy or James Marsters fan club?!

no, lol, I wish I was an extra on Buffy! I met them at horror conventions. I met Anthony Head in a goth club in Baltimore - we were both there to see a band play - it was the band of one of the actors who played one of the nerds in the troika...but it's been so long I can't remember which one it was or the name of his band. He sat by me and bought me a beer and was gorgeous in person and not anything like his Giles character. He was wearing a leather jacket and had earrings and seemed much younger. He was super nice and seemed really down to earth.

I was also a "merch girl" for a band on some tours, so have met a lot of band members and are friends with a lot of them. My good friend dated Lars Frederickson from Rancid for a while off and on.

Oh, I forgot, I also met Bruce Campbell, but he was not very nice.

The thought of running into Giles at a goth club in Baltimore, My inner 16 year old would Freak. Out.

I was in John Cusak's vicinity a few months ago. Too chickenshit to say anything, but I was definitely star struck.

Jared Leto in a long rainbow scarf paid for my coffee when i didn't have the right change at a coffee shop.

I changed the details and made it sound like he was hitting on me by buying my coffee for some time, but now at age 37 I can say he was very nice and just trying to help a mousy 20 year old girl out

Oh, no I totally should have told the story like I used to. How he leaned in and smiled, saying with a little wink "let me get this for you" and kept making eye contact and smiling at me, kinda lingering around where I was putting creamer in.
I like that version better myself
Oh and it was summer. Long flowing rainbow scarf, knit scarf with a white tshirt.
