I just finished reading Andy Cohen's second book where he talks about meeting Britney Spears, and I can't stop thinking of the phrase he used to describe her. "She was simple and shy..." Maybe JLH and Brit should be friends. |
Vince wasn't rude, he just did not want to drink with some random chick. Shocker. |
Met Russel Crowe at a party in Cannes. He was a dick, very full of himself and kind of obsessed with his very pretty, blonde wife. Good for him but it was a bit weird.
At the same party met Gerard Butler, who was nice, but a total smarm. I was a 21 year old female and I doubt he would have given me the time of day if I was a guy. Total skeeve, definitely just on the lookout for some tail. |
I took a dance class with Taye Diggs. He's a great instructor. It was hard to not blush and giggle every time he smiled encouragingly after giving a correction. |
That's because Terry Bradshaw, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Green Day, and Cuba Gooding Jr. are bigger stars than the Kardashian skanks you confuse with celebrities. |
That's on you. Get more in touch with pop culture, oldie. |
I met Lou Gramm (lead singer of "Foreigner"), Ani Di Franco (singer), and Jim Carroll (poet, author of "The Basketball Diaries"). All were very nice. I danced with Terrell Anthony (Rusty Shayne from "Guiding Light") at a fundraiser. He was sweet.
Met Stephen Furst (Dr. Eliot Axelrod from "St. Elsewhere"). I hope he was just having a bad day, because he seemed like an arrogant dick. |
OJ Simpson. This was back in the early 2000s I think. He was staying at the same hotel my family and I were in Aruba. It was kind of funny, thE men seemed to be like "oh it's oj the football star! " while the women were disgusted by him. He seemed nice enough but could tell he was uncomfortable
Mo Vaughn who was an idol to my brother. Incredibly nice guy The whalberg family a few times. Always very nice and funny Matt Damon at a wedding. He was very nice and trying to downplay who he was. It was a small wedding and I think I was one of the few who hadn't previously met him as he was friends with a family member of mine. |
If someone came up to me and claimed to like me/my work and then got significant details about my work wrong, I probably wouldn't want to continue the conversation either. |
Who? Who? Who? Who? Who? |
I have heard a few times that Matt Damon is a really great guy, super down to earth. Apparently Ben Affleck is not, but Matt is supposed to be super friendly. Cools stories. |
Yeah, he wasn't rude to me. I'm just lame. I suspect it had to do with the fact that I blanked on his big movie of the year (Swingers), and spoke only in question form. |
He is almost 90 now so a lot of you might not know who this is, but I met Tommy Lasorda when I was in college. He showed up at a bar at a college formal (hotel in Philadelphia) and was really friendly and spent time talking to everyone. The guys were all fawning over him, and the girls remembered him as "that Slim Fast guy". |
Congrats- you're clueless in 5 different genres, and have the free time to post about it! |
Tommy Lasorda!!!! He's 90???? Shit. How old am I? |
