Why is it okay for your dog to shit in my yard?

Also, for those people who said "why do you care...the owner is picking up the poop...". they don't all do that! I bet there are quite a few who don't assuming that the grass will camouflage it! Which means we will step in it when we cut our grass.

OP, I don't understand why you don't just put up a nice, tasteful "No dogs" sign. When I see a sign like that I make a point of keeping my dogs off that property. If you want to continue to fume that all dog owners should have the same standards as you, you will get nowhere. But at least a sign would deter some of us from letting our dogs step on your lawn.

Its gross. My kids play in my yard and I put up a sign that says "NO DOGS PLEASE." My neighbors with dogs have been nothing by kind and respectful of my wishes.

That's great, except the problem dogs on my street can't read and their owners simply open their doors to let their dog out for exercise.

so I have read as much as I can . I can see there is no easy way to kill these animals. only way to stop them is water nose to the asshole owners!

I don't care if you pick up your dog's poop, I don't want it in my yard in the first place because then the next dog that comes along will use the same area. I own my property and if I want dogs pooping on my lawn I would advertise it. Take your dogs out in the country and leave my yard alone!! Dogs mark territories and if one starts, then another will and then all at once I have a feces/pee dumping spot in my yard.

Take a pic and mail it to the authority in your jurisdiction who mails out fines. Include the owners name, address and all of their pertinent information. They can be mailed a fine in most places. Done.
