I think what I WILL do next time though is confront the dog walker which might be embarrassing enough to make them stop.
Also, for those people who said "why do you care...the owner is picking up the poop...". they don't all do that! I bet there are quite a few who don't assuming that the grass will camouflage it! Which means we will step in it when we cut our grass.
OP, I don't understand why you don't just put up a nice, tasteful "No dogs" sign. When I see a sign like that I make a point of keeping my dogs off that property. If you want to continue to fume that all dog owners should have the same standards as you, you will get nowhere. But at least a sign would deter some of us from letting our dogs step on your lawn.
