Again, if you’re participating in the platform, you’re part of the societal problem. No one cares if you drink cocktails at home or take pictures of your girls night out and just keep them for your own enjoyment. |
They are living under a rock wondering what all the fuss is about. They know, they just don't care, it's part of the charm of posting on social media. |
There are lonely crazies requesting posts in this thread be deleted because they struck a nerve. |
It's pretty early in the day to be this angry. Maybe go look at your friends social media to cheer yourself up? |
I think it’s largely this. I’m not on much any more. I unfriended a lot of casual acquaintances for being MAGA. Mostly everyone else, I can call or text. |
Ok, but just so you know, when you take pictures with your phone, it automatically stores them. You can create all sorts of albums, too! I love to scroll through all the photos on my phone. Feels great, looking back on all those memories. |
Attention seekers |
Uh, what is your apparently heart warming tale of the origins of social media? I guess you've chosen to bury your head in the sand regarding the business model? A lot of people who work at these companies won't let their children use these apps, ever, because they understand how manipulative they are. They absolutely profit off misery. |
I love taking photos and videos. Sharing them with relevant people or groups (as opposed to just quickly sharing them with hundreds of mostly distant people) takes more time, but it's worth it to me. The idea of sharing things with people I never talk to makes me feel uncomfortable, and most likely the people I'd want to see what I shared won't see it because most people who are currently important to me are done with social media. |
Facebook was invented by an unpopular thief who wanted to rank girls. How do people forget this? |
You're right, some people can use it in moderation. I still use it some and feel I have a healthy relationship with it. But the people I know who do what OP is describing are addicts. OP wants to know why people post these photos that no one who wasn't there needs to see? Because they are addicts, and they get a high from it. They need the likes and comments. |
| Honestly, who cares. Let people have their thing. Judging them for this is worse, imo. |
It's ok to judge people who seek to harm. |
Anyone who posts a photo from a girls dinner is an addict? You should ask yourself why you're so invested in believing that's true. |
The automobile was invented by an antisemite. How do people forget this? |
