Social media is designed to make people click.  It’s not designed to make people miserable.  That would be self-defeating.  The exact OPPOSITE of its business model.  [/quote]

You're right, some people can use it in moderation. I still use it some and feel I have a healthy relationship with it.

But the people I know who do what OP is describing are addicts. OP wants to know why people post these photos that no one who wasn't there needs to see? Because they are addicts, and they get a high from it. They need the likes and comments.[/quote]
