Imagine saying this in any other profession.

I am working from home today, not a teacher.

I wish teachers like this could be fired. I am a teacher btw. Way to screw over your colleagues.

It is doubtful they will close.

Fired for what, exactly? Putting themselves first and using their granted leave?

I’m a teacher as well, and I don’t particularly like PP’s comment. Still, that teacher has every right to make this decision.

Silly. Pink collar professions like nursing and teaching don’t count as professions anymore.

I think they would have announced by now. So, no.

Please. You know all of Gatehouse will be working from home today. Why do you buy into the idea that we must self-sacrifice to be “part of the team?”

Dramatic much?? You chose this profession. You also accepted a job knowing your commute. Coming in for school delays shouldn't be a "self sacrifice". Do you hear yourself and how crazy you sound?

hope they don't changed it.

I don’t think it’s a self-sacrifice to get in your car and drive to work in conditions that millions of people across the country navigate with no problem all winter. So we don’t agree. I think it’s yet another excuse for people who do the bare minimum on a regular basis and with co-workers like this the rest of us are all picking up their slack all the time.
