Katie Porter’s viral interview video

THIS.
That's why I like her a lot. She is raw and unconventional. This is a new era in US politics. In a divided country, soft and conventional candidates will fail.
Characters and behaviors don't matter. What matters the most policy.

Are you all suggesting that male politicians and bosses are never mean to their staff?

It never gets coverage like this though.

This isn't a male vs. female thing, this is about basic human decency and professionalism to those you employ.

There’s a NY Post article too celebrating Trump’s obnoxious dismissal of a CNN reporter’s question. Why no DCUM thread tearing him apart for it? It is a male vs. female thing.

My post sharing an article about how many interviews Trump has walked out of was deleted for some reason. Not sure what he gets to do that and no republican was screaming about how “damaging” this is going to be to the Republicans. And he’s won twice.

Oh, I know. Because women and democrats are help to a different standard.

If she were hot, and full of silicone and filler, republicans would find her behavior an aphrodisiac.

Unfortunately, Katie Porter isn't running against Trump, she's running against ten or so candidates who were capable of answering the same questions and didn't threaten to storm out like an immature child.

Yes, but California's future governor will have to deal with Trump, for whom niceness is not a virtue.

She’s the best democrat candidate?? What a loser!

She doesn’t have to work to win anyone’s vote. She’s going to be handed the governorship on a silver platter as she’s a democrat running in California. Yeah, nope, she’s a bad candidate with no substance.

+1

I’m watching her clips and I can’t believe what I’m watching. This one left me with my jaw on the floor. https://x.com/bubblebathgirl/status/1975930570090717390?s=46&t=R3AX3c486LFdeZpFtkN_eA

My jaw dropped when I saw how badly that person (bubblebathgirl?) mischaracterized what Porter said, and then fell through the floor when you bought the lie.

Californian here. Are those of you who are so actively defending her in this thread actually from California? I don’t know anyone in California who feels the way some of you do, especially the people who are excusing her behavior because Trump.

Maybe this attitude is what it will take to fight Trump. Because taking the high road hasn’t helped anyone so far.

There’s a lot of people in California, it is impressive that you know enough of them to feel like you can speak for the state.

So you’re not from California. I figured as much.

Oooohhhh, you got me. I did live there for a while though and none of the people I knew there are dumb enough to participate in this misogynist pile on. Hard to believe it’s possible but maybe don’t know the same people!

My siblings live in Cali. I don't know how much they like Porter, but I can guarantee they'd prefer her over whoever the republican would be. Republicans have just become too toxic wackadoos ever since the MAGA takeover.

I didn't realize Californians like Trump's type of rudeness and evasiveness, but her defenders clearly do.

I mean, when you falsely accuse someone of saying pedophilia isn't a crime, which is what you guys are doing to Porter, it's pretty hard not to defend them, if you have any interest in fairness at all.

Weird conclusion.. It doesn't make "Dems" look bad, it makes her look bad.

Her statement that we don't need MAGA is bad to say out loud. I agree with her, but I do think it makes her look as vindictive and partisan as MAGA.

That's literally what we're fighting against now. We want MAGA to realize that we're the party of labor, stable economy, and more affordable health.

You aren't fighting Trump.

He HAS the high road.

It's you who are abusing the courts to stall for time, even though you eventually lose the cases.

It's you who are pushing for political assassinations.

It's you who simply want more power, but when you get it, you F everything up because you can't figure out things work in the real world vs. what progressives think will work because they look good on paper.

Go away.
